When Columbus landed here over 500 years ago, the beach was just as beautiful, but the water sports weren’t quite as numerous!
Today there’s myriad water sports, including water-skiing, windsurfing and sailing in the excellent all-inclusive package, with organised activities for children and adults alike. It’s a fantastic place for families, as the first child under 12 years stays FREE - you only have to pay the airfare. Meals come buffet style in 1 restaurant, with à la carte dining available in 2 restaurants. Nightly entertainment has those reggae rhythms stirring the sultry night air, and the disco starts up later, carrying on until 2.00am!
Where is it?
On the beach near Runaway Bay. Transfer time from airport: 1 hour 30 min.
Eats and drinks
1 buffet-style restaurant ‘Pick a Pepper’ for breakfast, lunch and dinner (international cuisine) and 2 à la carte restaurants, Nyamings for Jamaican and Jasmin Delta for Pan-Asian cuisine (dinner only). 3 bars, including the Beach Jetty Bar with sun deck, and an English-style pub with darts and pool table.
Entertainment
Nightly entertainment including live acts and local bands. Disco until 2.00am.
Fun and games
2 swimming pools, daily activities programme, pool tables, aerobics, gym, shuffleboard, table tennis, beach volleyball, 2 floodlit tennis courts and tennis clinic, supervised children's activity programme 9.00am-5.00pm (4-11 years). Water sports: water-skiing, windsurfing, Sunfish sailing, kayaks, pedalos, snorkel trips, banana boat and glass-bottom boat rides, scuba demo in pool and diving available for qualified divers*.
