In a nutshell
Canada's foremost 4-season resort is considered one of the premier mountain destinations in the world. It has a whopping vertical and a huge ski area with a great combination of high open bowls and woodland trails.
The lifts are good and there's an attractive pedestrian-only resort village at the base, alive with a selection of over 50 bars, nightclubs and restaurants.
When you're not skiing, you may like to try your hand at zipping through the local forests on a snowmobile or if you are after a more sedate pace, try snowshoeing! Because Whistler is a world-class leader in resort destinations, it has been chosen for the upcoming 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Everyone's eyes and ears are on Whistler these days.
Après-ski
Walking through Whistler Village after the lifts close, you will find that many of the bars and restaurants will be buzzing with après-ski excitement. Some customers consider it the best part of their winter holiday! There is a great selection of bars to choose from for that post-ski toddy, such as Merlins or the Longhorn, and restaurants range from fine dining to sushi and pizza - take your pick!
Whistler Village is pedestrian-only and everything is within walking distance. There is a FREE village shuttle, plenty of taxis, and Whistler's convenient public transit system, which can return you to your accommodation.

FREE bus service between Whistler Village and the Upper Village.
Getting there
Flights: With Air Canada from Heathrow to Vancouver 9 hours 45 min.
Whistler is 2 hours from Vancouver.
Car Hire: Included in the flydrive price, however we encourage all visitors to travel using transfers, as Whistler Village is pedestrianised.
Transfers: Can be arranged for £85 per person return. Private transfers £437 per mini van (max 9 people).
