Blue Waters Resort & Spa

Antigua, Caribbean

The hotel

This is a truly superb recently refreshed hotel with elegant surroundings, outstanding service and an enviable location on two white sand beaches lapped by gentle aqua waves, epitomising the Caribbean fantasy. The 17 tropical acres of gardens are beautifully tended and each of the buildings is romantically draped with brightly coloured bougainvillea — just adding to the delightful ambience. There's plenty to do during the day and you'll no doubt be tempted on to the beach by one of a generous array of water sports. Table tennis is popular and there's an 18-hole golf course 5 minutes away. Wind down in the evening (if you haven't done so already!) with a delicious coconut crush — liberally splashed with local rum — while you watch pelicans dive and swoop for their meals. Your dinner can be taken at one of the hotel's gourmet restaurants, complimented with an excellent Claret from the wine list. An amazing holiday experience.

A couple of weeks home after a superb holiday at Blue Waters. We cannot fault this place. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Great facilities and social spaces, nice private areas if you want some chill time and of course, that beach view ... stunning (We were in room 108). The service throughout was of a high standard as is the food. My wife has a gluten intolerance and the staff were knowledgeable and very accommodating in terms of adjusting dishes to suit. All the restaurants are excellent and whilst the Cove Restaurant is fine dining, we tended to enjoy the Palm. Only bit of feedback on the restaurants is that the menus could change a little more frequently, especially at the Cove. We were there for 2 weeks so it became a little too much of the same but couldn't fault the quality. A few special shout outs to a great team. Nicole - (Guest Relations) - so helpful. Sorted out a minor medical issue for us quickly and all remedied without any fuss. She also organised a lovely table and flowers for my wife's birthday which made it all the more special. Kina (Restaurant Manageress) - always greeted guests with a wonderful smile and tended to our every need. Nothing too much trouble and she kept a close eye on the service. She manages a great team. Cedre (Watersports Team) - took us out on a hobicat and told us quite a bit about the island. Felt totally safe at all times and he has a great sense of humour - really fun trip! John (Head Gardener) - absolutely beautiful grounds and we thoroughly enjoyed the garden tour. Everything immaculate and he is clearly very proud of his team. Sheldon (gardener) - took us on a great walk outside the hotel. Kept our steps up and he didn't break a sweat, unlike us!! Finally, and by no means least, Tremaine at the poolside bar. Wow! She works so hard, knows every cocktail and drink combination off by heart and was absolutely charming. Thank you for an amazing holiday - we hope to return! Read less

The Blue Waters resort and spa was fantastic. It had everything we could dream of. The room was big and comfortable, the beaches fantastically clean and uncrowded, magnificent gardens and good restaurants. The full board included everything even free drinks at the bars. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

What can I say? We were welcomed as a Travel Counsellors group by everyone at the Blue Wates Resort & Spa so warmly. Our suites were beautfiul, and the hospitality was second to none. The grounds are kept so pristine, I loved the gardens. The beaches are so quiet and peaceful, you can always find a place to sit and relax, numerous pools to choose from for families and adults that wish for peace and quiet. Lots of the suites have private pools, or a shared pool also. It never feels crowded, and is so pretty everywhere you look. Stunning private villas, or intimate rooms in the hear of the resort. Staff are friendly and welcoming, even guests stop and chat and greet you like old freinds. They have the most amazing weddings, and we were lucky enough to see from a distance how well these are organised. What a stunning location to celebrate. A fantastic childrens club, this resort is great for a multi generational break. Plenty of areas for adults only, and plenty for the whole family to enoy together. The choice of food is amazing, from the buffet to the a la carte restaurants. Just wonderful food, I loved the beach restaurant. Amazing fresh produce, great cocktails..... I could just go on and on all day! Great to have the buggies, to help you get around also. Staff just stop and ferry you, to where you need to be. So many smiles, everywhere you look and such a warm atmosphere. As a Travel Agent, I can honestly say you just can not go wrong with Blue Waters. Our guests love staying here, and so do we. Thank you so much for having us, and sharing your stunning hotel with us. Best Wishes, Natasha Hall Travel Counsellors Read less

What an amazing resort, we stayed for 8 days with friends having been to Antigua 3 times before, it was by far the best, staff were amazing, especially Luella, she’s a credit to the resort. Great sunbeds too and lots available, Food was top class and the whole place was a joy.
