Bougainvillia is a lovely smallish hotel with beautiful flowers and greenery and situated on the beach front. The beach being beautiful with white sand and plenty of sun beds and parasols if wanted. We had a ground floor room near the kids pool which was lovely. We didn't have problems with pool noise as the hotel is quiet after the nightly entertainment finishes around 9.30. All the acts were talented and were not too loud. They created a lovely ambience. It would be good if a few candles were placed on the decking tables and on the tables close to the bar to make the area more inviting in the evening and maybe would encourage guests to watch the acts. The swimming pools for children and adults were small yet perfect for the hot weather. Not big enough for swimming lengths but plenty big enough to have fun. Lots of people enjoyed the swim up side of the bar. We found all the staff in the hotel to be helpful and friendly. Our room was large and modern with a settee and armchair and kitchenette with, toaster, kettle fridge freezer and coffee makermaker. The big bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. It was kept very clean. It is an idea to leave the housekeepers a daily tip, clearly labelled as more than one person may clean your room. We didn't manage to get a slightly later checkout which was a shame but not a problem. There were showers that you could use in the gym on the ground floor. I wish there was an Information sheet or booklet in the room to help make things run smoothly. I had forgotten that the hotel had a gym and spa untill we used the showers on our last day. If the info was recorded in your room along with Internet details I would have found this useful and I guess the spa would have had more business. There was a lovely games room on the ground floor and a hospitality room that was cool with lots of books the guests can borrow. The hotel shop had lots of Tshirts beach wear and gifts and was competitively priced. My husband and I had a fabulous holiday and would definitely be happy to stay at this hotel again - it really is lovely. Trevor one of the hotels taxi drivers took us on an amazing island tour and to several other places in the evenings. We also hired a car and drove all around the Island. Looking forward to another visit. Read less

Food at calabash is some of the best we had. The hotel forfilled all of the requests I had made for my husbands birthday and made it so special. All staff were friendly. The location is great with a short walk up the road to get the zr buses to wherever we went. We will definitely be back. Read less

The only nah I could have was the sea was rough but if you walk a little further up it's slightly less rough. Honestly I recommend this hotel for couples. It's in a great area has a lovely vibe and is better than the majority in close proximity! The photos I attached except the one with the alcohol got taken around 6-7am so don't think it's was overcast and cloudy! Everyday was boiling and gorgeous! Read less
