O2 is truly exceptional. Beautiful facility, gorgeous views, uncrowned, amazing food, terrific spa, and most of all the best staff anywhere...always genuinely helpful, friendly, engaging, proactive. I would agree with some of the reviews that this is a 4 not 5 star hotel - but it could be! I would agree with some of the reviews that this is a 4 not 5 star hotel - but it could be! Niggles; sunbed cushions are stained and dirty, the al a carte service at The Blue Fin is slow and we didn't like sitting under a cable which also served as a perch for birds. The hotel is not positioned in the best of areas and is a fair way from any public transport so a taxi is the best option if you want to go into Bridgetown. All small issues and nothing to detract from an enjoyable holiday. Food; The Oro is excellent we dined there twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. My only issue is the dress code which supposedly insists that men wear long trousers and collared shirts. When I queried why men wearing shorts and beach round neck T Shirts had been allowed in I was told the rules were relaxed as they could not always expect people to bring the requisite clothing with them!! ?? Elements is very good for all meals and Brisa for tapas although as someone said there is little atmosphere there. Overall the standard of food was very good as was the service. Staff; overall, friendly and helpful. A 'can do' attitude is apparent and most would go the extra mile to please. A BIG shout out for Khadijah - management please note this lady - she was willing to go the extra 100 miles to make sure all was well. My daughter has a soya allergy and she personally supervised the preparation of her meal to ensure there were no problems - the kitchen staff generally were well able to deal with this issue. Another special mention is for Joy-Anne(?) who also was happy to put herself out to make sure we had no problems. Room; we were on 5th floor of 'adult' block. the room was spacious, clean and well equipped with a beautiful view over the pool and sea. Well cleaned and restocked with towels each day and fridge regularly restocked. Arrival; we were shown around by Saun and John escorted to our room where our luggage was waiting for us. Departure; we had a 7 p.m. pick up so arranged for hospitality rooms to shower and change - tip - book these a day or so ahead the time slots go!! Pools; they are not swimup pools nor are they Olympic size but more than big enough to enjoy a swim or a casual game of pool volleyball. Plenty of sunbeds and the attendants do enforce the no saving rule. All in all, we had a great time - but have stayed at better locations in Barbados. Read less

Excellent, brilliant, fantastic. The rooms had comfy beds, great furniture on the balcony which had amazing views. Shower, bathroom, mini-bar all top notch. The ambassador showed us around and gave us lots of information. All areas were clean, well manicured and appealing to the eye. The food was really good in all restaurants and the drinks were branded, the wine was great. The staff at the hotel make this resort special. Nothing is too much trouble and it feels like their whole aim is to ensure you have a great time. They truely go above and beyond. There is an excellent infrastructure at the hotel, with obvious Manager presence, and this ensures everything runs smoothly. It is always the small touches that make you feel special and this is where they excel. ice cold facecloths brought to you whilst you sunbathe, the mini-bar refilled quickly, with notice taken about what you drink most of and more of this added. The offer to us to bring lunch to the upstairs pool, the Head Chef coming to our table to check we are happy with everything........ the list is endless. We appreciated all the efforts the staff went to, to ensure we had an amazing holiday. Thank you. Read less

The vagus massage released so much tension. It was the best decision. The hammam room experience was cherry on top...clean, just the right amount of heat, aromatherapy from the exfoliating products was on point. My companions and I immediately commented on how our nasal passages were clearing up. We walked out that place glowing with skin smooth as butter! Just go. Worth every penny. Doing it with friends will make you feel so full 💗 Read less

I am currently here on holiday so feel I can give an honest review. This is a wonderful hotel who do so many things right but seem to get the basics wrong. Check in was efficient, but not overly friendly. We weren’t offered a drink or anything like some of the other guests who arrived after us. They took time to show us around the resort which we thought was lovely and a great idea. We were then shown to our room- we stayed in one of the luxury suites which were great. Very large rooms and the bathroom was massive! Top quality toiletries and minibar was a good touch. Only negative is the lighting is bad (not good for doing your make up!) and there wasn’t nearly enough storage space for things. We came here for our honeymoon and was a little bit disappointed that this wasn’t acknowledged at all. I know people come for special events all the time but it would’ve been a nice added Touch if they’d acknowledged it. Staff are super friendly, food and drinks are good. Small selection in the buffets but the choices they do have are great. Oro restaurant is incredible, we would recommend going for about 6.30 as it’s not as busy and you get to see the incredible views. As previously mentioned, there isn’t a huge amount going on in the evening but they often have a singer until around 10pm who are always very good. Now a big negative for me is the drug use around the hotel. There have been multiple occasions of weed use from different guests but nobody seems to care about it. One guest was smoking near the family pool section.. a member of staff went up to him and we thought he was about to tell him to put it or something. Instead he proceeded to fist bump him and start sharing the joint with him!!! For us personally, we hate the smell of it and haven’t paid all this money to be around it. We did report the first incidents but felt uncomfortable reporting it again as the staff were involved. Big shout out to Dwayne at the bar and Yvonne who were both amazing and went above and beyond! All round this is truly a lovely hotel with the potential to be amazing. I felt like I had no choice but to give it 4 stars with the drugs on site. Read less
