Unfortunately we had a ground floor suite.our view was of a bush and the bearded fig tree. There was a problem with dampness. The floor had water on it, and there was no room for baggage. After a slight hiccup on check in (put in one of the budget rooms which we had not booked) we were finally offered a beautiful garden room and looked after by Corey who was amazing throughout our stay. Overall the hotel was immaculate with rooms serviced everyday, huge comfortable bed and all the amenities you need. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It's a great location and after the minor issues at the start of our holiday we had a fabulous time. In fact it was so good we are returning in 5 months time. We can't wait. Read less

Balcony overlooking the perfectly white beach was so close we could hear the waves!!! Oh and the huge beds are super comfy The staff are friendly and so very happy to help or just chat Everything is spotlessly clean (albeit a little dated as others have said) The breakfast was delicious with a great selection of hot food, fresh fruits, pastries, cakes, etc served overlooking the beach and ocean 🥰 Location is right in the middle of the Gap so close to bars and restaurants (mimosa was our favourite for morning coffee watching the turtles play in the surf or a lovely evening meal) A trip to oistins fish fry on Friday evening is a must (get a cab from hotel - Shalissa is very reliable and a lovely lady) We also booked a catamaran trip from captain ron who comes to the beach giving out leaflets and would highly recommend this trip on the Wasn’t Me The highlight of our holiday was a tour of the island with taxi driver Shalissa who designed a tour around our ‘must sees’ as well as some of her own recommendations - we really got a feel for the whole beautiful island We will return to Barbados and the Southern Palms Read less

So pleased we chose Southern Palms. Brilliant location right on the beach with also alovely pool area. OK the rooms are slightly tired but very clean. But the location makes up for that. The staff are all very helpful and freindly. We were room only and had a couple of lunches there. The food was lovely. I definitely want to go to Bardaos again… Read more

This hotel is lovely, the staff cannot do enough for you, very helpful and friendly. Location 10/10, on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados, in my opinion. Stayed in room 315, fantastic views of the pool and ocean. Room clean and perfect for what we needed. Would definitely return.
