Horrible horrible stay in room 1448. The hallway to our room was littered with stains and trash. The floor in our room was filthy and sticky and there was something yellow stuck all over the toilet. We were exhausted so rather than go through the hassle of texting the front desk, I cleaned up myself with the cleaning supplies I brought. Children were running up and down the hallway all afternoon and all night long, knocking on our door multiple times and running away. My daughter has sensory issues and this was overload! Since we were up all night due to the noise, we slept in missing check out, so essentially paid for an unused night. No one has reached out offering a refund, a credit to stay at another Universal resort, maybe one suited better for one with sensory issues. This ruined my daughter’s birthday trip and ours first trip as Premier annual pass holders. One that took me months to save for. And we only received a text stating, sorry. THEN, they charged me twice for parking and now won’t respond to my texts. Trip ruin and now NO much needed vacation because we paid for a room we couldn’t use and couldn’t afford to get another room somewhere else and no one has reached out which says to me, we don’t care, we have your money and the ability to rebook the room. I’m used to better treatment being ex Disney annual pass holders for the past twelve years. We switched it up due to costs but you get what you pay for, I guess. We’re now Universal Studios pass holders and we are feeling a little regret for the purchase due to our very first experience at a Universal resort. Missing that Disney Magic. They would at least make things right. Read less

Booked by mistake but would definitely return Visited in May so the Hotel was not at full capacity but did fill up noticeably with American families at the weekend. Everywhere clean, tidy and well maintained. Just two of us in a suite meant that we had everything you might need and room to spare, would be ideal for a small family, although you may need some extra blankets. Food hall was nice and catered for all your needs but plenty of other food options locally if you want to venture out. Dockside is obviously aimed at Universal park visitors with regular buses to and from the parks but we only came for the shopping and it was also an ideal base for us. There are still some bargains to be had at the Malls and Outlets but you will have to hunt for them. Others have commented about the ‘thin room walls’ which is fair comment but we were lucky enough to have considerate neighbours. Had to occasionally wait a while for the lifts and can see how they will become an issue when the Hotel is busier later in the year. Biggest single ‘concern’ for us was the lack of shade available around the pools caused where the pool umbrellas are (understandably) fixed in position. We enjoyed our stay and can certainly see how The Dockside would be a particularly excellent choice for anybody visiting the Universal parks but perhaps if possible try to avoid the weekends and peak season. I have just spent 6 days in Orlando with my husband visiting the Universal parks - staying at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn & Suites which is located around 10 minutes from the Universal parks, on Universal Boulevard which runs parallel to International Drive. From our room window you could see Volcano Bay, The Hulk rollercoaster, and Hogwarts! As the hotel is a Universal hotel there are regular free shuttles to the Universal parks, and you get early admission to the parks each day which meant we managed to get on the super popular Hagrid’s motorbike ride at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter first thing before it got crazy busy and all the other guests were let in to the park! The hotel rooms are clean and bright and have everything you need! I believe for families they offer 2 bedroom suites, with kitchenettes. The pool areas are great and have a sandy beach area, a pool bar at each pool with a fantastic cocktail menu and a children’s splash pad. The pool areas stay open until 10pm which is ideal if you fancy a dip after a busy day at the parks! In the main part of the hotel there is a restaurant serving a huge choice of food, and there is a Starbucks in the lobby! Within walking distance of the hotel you have a range of restaurants/diners, convenience stores and even a crazy-golf course! We have used the public electric scooters to get around if our legs were feeling a little tired - these can usually be found close to the hotel. To get up and down the International Drive area we have also used the I-Ride Trolley which arrives regularly outside the hotel and only costs $2 a ride! I highly recommend a trip to the premium outlets if you want to pick up some bargains - these are only a 10 minute Uber or trolley ride away. I definitely recommend the Endless Summer hotels if you are visiting the Universal parks on a slightly tighter budget! Read less

The house keeping team were extremely well organised and always kept on top of the cleaning of the rooms and the whole hotel was extremely clean every day. The transportation to and from CityWalk and Volcano Bay was amazing and so convenient. So to sum this hotel up. It was perfect for our needs and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the near future and also recommend it to family and friends thinking of visiting Orlando. Read less
