When you walk in you'll be greeted with the hotel's signature cocktail on the house in Bar Moxy, and if your room isn't ready yet, why not order some small plates and jump on the foosball table for a bit of competitive fun. Mario and Alyssa at reception were super friendly and helpful. Great way to start my stay at the Moxy. Funky hotel that I would absolutely recommend. The room was lovely, new and clean. Location was super convenient for my meetings but also shopping and dinner options.

Carlos and Jay helped me to check in by going above and beyond. The city was busy with a conference and they went out of their way to make sure I had a room for an unexpected stay over I had to do due to business. Thanks guy for helping out my mom and I are very thankful !!!

They were both so kind and personable. They truly made us feel welcome and at ease. We immediately knew we were in good hands and that if we had any issues at all, we could rely on them to help us out. The amazing service we received from them is really what cemented us as future guests. To top it off, all the other staff members we encountered (in the hallways, elevator, etc) were all really friendly. The room was clean and nicely updated. It was small but there were a bunch of hooks on the wall so we were able to get all crap (jackets, bags, etc) 100% out of the way so the room was completely decluttered. It’s a genius idea. I wish more hotels had that! Oh and Carlos hooked us up with a room on the 21st floor so we had an awesome view. The bar area was cool too! Read less

I stayed yesterday evening with a friend, and we loved the hotel. It is both trendy and modern, with the decor and design being industrial, yet contemporary. It is very much geared towards millennials. It is located in the theater district, so all the spots are easily accessible by walking, Uber, or the metro. If you are into nightlife, Moxy is a great place to stay. There are a ton of bars and clubs within the area, as well as the hotel itself has a bar and dining area. Another aspect of the hotel I loved was that all the exterior walls were glass, allowing for awesome views from any floor. This hotel is VERY opposite from the typical hotels in Boston, which in my opinion, have that dark, stuffy, 1950s trend of wealth. Moxy is much more laid back, very similar to a boutique hotel in NYC. Finally, they are very dog friendly. My dog was not with me on this particular trip, and Moxy made me regret that! To address the common complaint concerning the rooms I’m seeing, if you are looking for a spacious room to hang up a week’s worth of outfits and settle in ample amount of luggage, you will be disappointed. The rooms are small, yet the simplistic and industrial vibe precludes you from feeling enclosed. If you are familiar with private rooms in hostels or guest houses in other countries, you will not be shocked. Finally, I will say that we were on the 15th floor facing Tremont, and the noise level at night was extremely loud. There was a lot of action. It did not settle until about 2 am. Therefore, if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing hidden haven, this is not the hotel for you. Perhaps request a room at the back of the building. Read less

We had a wonderful stay in Moxy. The customer service by Carlos and Youssef was unparalleled. They put a smile on our faces even at checkout. The drinks and snacks at the bar were fantastic too. It’s worth seeing the views from this hotel and nearby all hot spots in the city. It was a great stay with great staff & ambiance.
