The hotel

Daring to be different, this is fast becoming recognised as one of the hippest hotels in Hollywood. As chic and playful as the city that surrounds it, Dream Hollywood is dressed for the red carpet – from the fresh dove-whites of its lobby and gadget-stuffed guest rooms, to the sheer opulence of its dining venues. Led by the formidable TAO Group, the restaurants take you from the Far East at dramatic TAO Asian Bistro, to the sun of Sicily at Luchini Pizzeria & Bar, and to old Hollywood glamour at Beauty & Essex, with its multi-ethnic menu. But winning the Oscar for best-dressed set is The Highlight Room, an off-the-charts rooftop venue that brings together a spectacular cast: a contemporary Californian menu, handcrafted cocktails, a swanky rooftop pool with perfectly padded loungers and private cabanas, and views out to the Hollywood sign.

I would not recommend staying at this property. I used to stay at this property a lot, but I doubt I will in the future. We neve received housekeeping services despite asking for it. There is visible wear/tear on the bed framing. The grout on the bathroom floors needs cleaning. The shower is starting to show mold/mildew stains.

Great service and atmosphere! Room are a bit small but the area, night life, and food makes up for it
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Hotel is unacceptably loud. Do not plan on sleeping until after 2am!

The staff was pleasant. They put us on the 8th floor and the club at night from 11pm-2am is extremely LOUD. There is almost no insulation in this hotel we could hear people talking, singing and the music was shaking the entire room until 2am! The hotel should have communicated this upon check in. There is almost no insulation in this hotel we could hear people talking, singing and the music was shaking the entire room until 2am! The hotel should have communicated this upon check in. Read the reviews, it's common. They moved us to a different floor the second night, still loud but not as bad, gave us a smaller room and offered no compensation for the night of no sleep and the downgrade. Pool area is nice, location is fine. We will never stay here again. Not worth any amount of money. I do not recommend this hotel unless you stay out until 2am every night. Read less

Stayed here to go to a show in LA and to take advantage of a Hyatt promotion. I liked this hotel a lot - very stylish. Stayed in room 625 (platinum suite) and it is small for a suite but worked well for my needs. A lot of people complain about the noise - we didn’t have a problem with that in this room. Staff is a little slow to the jump but not… Read more

It's a beautiful place, but the staff is one of the worst I've experienced in awhile. Breakfast 1 of the 2 days was undercooked meat, orange and way too overcooked eggs, and burnt potatoes. Had to request and call in multiple times for items over the course of 3 hours. Front desk was so unfriendly and didn't know how to apply a Hyatt gift card… Read more
It's a beautiful place, but the staff is one of the worst I've experienced in awhile. Breakfast 1 of the 2 days was undercooked meat, orange and way too overcooked eggs, and burnt potatoes. Had to request and call in multiple times for items over the course of 3 hours. Front desk was so unfriendly and didn't know how to apply a Hyatt gift card that I was awarded for Globalist status... I've still been awaiting them to apply it for the past 12 days, since he said he would check with his manager and follow up. No responses to my follow up message. Read less
