Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

Palm Springs, California

Virgin rating

The hotel

An oasis in the desert, you’ll find a huge range of things to keep you busy among the Hyatt Regency's 45-acres of perfectly manicured gardens. There’s seven different pools to cool off in, as well as a spa for a little more indulgence. If you’re a golfer, pick from two courses – and a pro can help iron out any kinks in your swing. Travelling with young ones? There are some great kids activities going on, as well as a family pool with a water slide. Maybe something more tranquil? The adults-only pool may be more your style – and maybe a cocktail by the pool at sunset followed by a tender steak.

Even though they still had some renovations going on you wouldn't have known it. They have given the hotel a great refresh. The staff, as always, are great, very helpful and very professional. If you are going as couple to have a quiet getaway I do recommend staying the beginning of the week as it does fill up with families on weekends and long weekends. And it is understandable why, it is a great resort for families as well. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Outdated mediocre hotel at five star prices

Despite a very extensive renovation, this hotel looks very dated and in need of a renovation. There is no concierge to help you. I tried calling the hotel many times in advance of my stay. All you get is an annoying AI voice. Highly disappointing. When you charge five star prices, you expect five star rooms and food and service. This fell well… Read more

All you get is an annoying AI voice. Highly disappointing. When you charge five star prices, you expect five star rooms and food and service. This fell well below expectations. Very very mediocre. There are far better places to stay than this hotel. The air conditioning went on every half hour VERY LOUDLY...and so a decent sleep was impossible. Could not wait to leave. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating The worst "Guest Services" of any hotel I've ever stayed at

Trying to call the front desk from your room directs you to some AI voice assistant that can't do anything besides regurgitate facts off the hotel website. If you ask to speak to a human, it sends you to someone in a ******* call center who memory-holes your request about half the time. We almost missed our flight home because we waited 20… Read more

If you ask to speak to a human, it sends you to someone in a ******* call center who memory-holes your request about half the time. We almost missed our flight home because we waited 20 minutes for a bellman that was never sent to our room, then waited some more at the valet because the "front desk" didn't let them know I was checking out like I'd asked. Giving this place an extra star because the pool area is huge and my kid loved it, but otherwise I've had better service at a Best Western. Read less

This place is incredible. Stayed in the King Bed family room w bunk beds. AMAZING. the beds are full, not twin, so my three kids fit fine. Beautiful grounds, excellent lazy river & pool. Getting chairs by the water slides can be crazy so go early. They are flexible with your own snacks though their food is really tasty! Our room was upgraded (thanks world of Hyatt credit card!) and we had the best time. Great service, pretty grounds, clean rooms. We come every year and it never disappoints. Read less
