Paradise Point Resort & Spa

San Diego, California

Virgin rating

The hotel

Overlooking spectacular Mission Bay in San Diego, you can really take advantage of the bayside setting here — chill out by the water or by one of the pools, go out in a sailboat or speedboat, or take surf lessons. Paradise Point is set on its own 44-acre island, with lush gardens and a mile-long white sand beach. One of the best things about it is that whilst its secluded spot makes you feel like you are a million miles away from it all, you're actually just minutes from downtown San Diego.

Hidden parking fees and a resort fee really ruined the experience for us. Sheets were scratchy. Otherwise nice stay - pools, horticulture, close beach, and spacious room. A nice, friendly culture around the resort. Sadly ruined by fees we were not told up front.

Spa not terrific and could use a refresh. Actually the entire resort could use some work as it is aging. Here on a conference so had a chance to sample the food—again just ok. Lots of walking here as it is fairly spread out. Swimming pools are all ok. Good resort to being the kids. Read less

Lovely setting, very friendly staff, good meals but on pricey side- typical in San Diego. Gorgeous grounds and ideal location to many popular venues.

You will not be disappointed. There is a something for everyone to do in the family, especially the kids. The rooms are great and the staff is wonderful.
