Parc 55 San Francisco A Hilton Hotel

Union Square, San Francisco

Virgin rating

The hotel

One for shopaholics and sightseers alike, Parc 55 San Francisco is easy shopping-bag-hauling distance from Union Square — the only question is, do you hit the big-name brands of the nine-storey Westfield mall or the one-of-a-kind boutiques around the square? Its address also puts you a quick hop from Powell Street’s cable car turnaround, Yerba Buena Gardens, and Chinatown. Once you’ve filled your suitcase and your camera’s memory, you can enjoy the locally inspired dishes of Cable 55 (with its equally local microbrews), and Thai treats of Kin Khao.

Carlton at the front desk is the man!! Thank you. The hotel is older but well kept and the design gives the windows an awesome crazy-looking atmosphere. Safe entrance after hours. They compensate for the destination fee by giving you restaurant credit

I just spent a week here, during the last week of April, and it was one of my best experiences I've ever had in a 3+ day stay at a hotel. Right off the bat with check-in, Ryan M. was super helpful and answered my many questions about the hotel and San Francisco (it was my first time in the city). I was put in a great room, with a great view, but unfortunately had problems with my wifi, because of an IT revamp on that floor that took place that week. The next day, I spoke to Ryan about this and he was super helpful in troubleshooting the matter and getting me set-up right away. I was in town for a long business conference, while also needing to complete work, and Ryan took my need for strong wifi with a sense of urgency. I had more questions for Ryan throughout the week and he was always friendly and super helpful, as was all of the staff that I encountered, from the housekeeping, to Pamela, one of the front security guards. I left that week with such a great experience that I mentioned it to friends and coworkers, something that is rare, as work trip hotel stays kind of blend together in a bland blur. With the option of two Hiltons within a couple hundred feet from each other, I will definitely be choosing this one any time I'm sent out to SF again. Read less

Checked in late, had an issue with the way I booked the room, and tired, however Carlton made sure everything was taken care of and ensured that as a Diamond Member with Hilton, that I was going to be completely satisfied with my stay. Planning my next trip at the end of the month and I fully intend to stay again!

This property has ridiculous policies, but I do recognize there are large events where they want to make money. My reservation had a 2-week cancelation period. I called 9 hours late (Hilton Diamond member) and they refused to make an exception, despite being able to re-rent the room (and it being a family issue that necessitated the change, not… Read more
This property has ridiculous policies, but I do recognize there are large events where they want to make money. My reservation had a 2-week cancelation period. I called 9 hours late (Hilton Diamond member) and they refused to make an exception, despite being able to re-rent the room (and it being a family issue that necessitated the change, not just convenience). They're doubling down on short-term profit over long-term satisfied (and loyal) customers. Stay somewhere else - I will. Read less
