Wi-Fi is provided by an external company and cost me 9.99 per day but it’s essential as there is no mobile/data signal here. Accommodation was ok we had the river view. Very noisy due to the constant gushing of water but that’s what I wanted but bear this in mind if you opt for river view. Only two restaurants on site we ate at both and we thought they were adequate for our needs. If more competition they would probably struggle but don’t be out of the food was OK. Accommodation is fairly basic but there is heating and air conditioning and the unit worked very well. No safe though in the room and for an international traveller this is annoying as passports had to be carried with us. Would I stay here again probably not as it’s 25 minute drive into the valley. They also charged me £9.86 on my credit card a few days later and I have no idea why so that was cheeky, Read less

The location of this hotel is great for access to Yosemite, but the hotel is average at best. Thankfully we stayed in one of the more updated loft rooms, but the room was ill equipped. Housekeeping only comes when asked, but the room was not stocked for multiple days, we had to find a housekeeping cart to get toilet paper, face clothes, coffee, etc. The pools were ok, not the warmest when the weather was chilly. We suggest bringing in food with you as there are little amenities on site (we didn't try the restaurant or pizza place based on other reviews on this site). The staff in the reception area have no information about Yosemite at all, and there is no cell service. We thought they would have maps, etc, but they do not. If you want to drive to Yosemite, you will need a Yosemite Park reservation which should be purchased beforehand as they sell out. The cost is $2 for the reservation, and then another $35 at the gate for a three day pass (they don't sell single day). If you want to take the bus instead, you don't need to have a park reservation. The cost from the hotel to the park is $17/person round trip, with kids 12 and under riding free. The hotel lobby did have schedules for the bus. We heard that April is busy at Yosemite, but there was plenty of parking at all times of the day. There are shuttles within Yosemite to take you place to place since it is quite spread out, these are free and come frequently. Read less

The Yosemite View Lodge has an excellent location just a few minutes from the Arch Rock entrance, surrounded by breathtaking nature. We were assigned of a room which smelled like mold, and even though we only spent the night there, the smell was really unbearable. The room faced a patio, which was nice, in the evening they turned on some lights which were left on every night, unfortunately the shutters on the window did not provide enough protection and every night we had to insist that they turn them off. On the door peephole there was a bottle cap stuck with a chewed gum...who knows why. I think the staff we asked for help with the heating and the lights was helpful, I also think the cleaning staff does what possible. I expected more attention to the room for the price paid, and more empathy from the young reception staff. Read less

Location is great, the room was on the river, which was wonderful. But upon arrival, the bathroom floor had large sticky spots which I attempted to wipe with my own Clorox wipes. The wipe became black with dirt. The white terrycloth floor mat turned very dirty after my husband took a shower. The deep jetted tub/shower had no grab bars, so I… Read more

The wipe became black with dirt. The white terrycloth floor mat turned very dirty after my husband took a shower. The deep jetted tub/shower had no grab bars, so I was unable to shower. My assumption is that because most folks are one-time tourists, there isn’t a lot of attention to upkeep. Read less

Pro: Location, we can get in the park within 10 mins. Con: The WiFi is not complimentary, it cost 9.99 for 24 hrs. And it is strictly limited to 2 devices, that is you cannot disconnect and pass it to the third one. You have to buy two passcode if you have more than 3 people. But the speed is promising.
