Very, very noisy room on the Bourbon Street side - even with earplugs provided we got no sleep for the entire 3 night stay. Music absolutely cranks on Bourbon Street until 3 am every day of the week. Slightly quieter Sun/Mon as one bar facing the hotel wasn’t open. The staff are wonderful - warm, friendly, helpful. Being in the centre of the New Orleans party scene is intense, so being able to step back into the pool area was lovely. A coffee and 10.30 am dip when the sun hits is lovely! Read less

DO NOT STAY HERE. my father was beaten, knocked out and robbed in his hotel room and the hotel did nothing to help. Still have yet to talk to the manager over a felony that happened last Thursday night. He was knocked unconscious and followed from the lobby to his room. They will not do anything until the manager is in.

Two downsides. The service in restaurant is extremely poor. Slow and inefficient. Today we are taking a day off from site seeing and lounging by the pool. BUT there is an extremely loud power washer spoiling our day. Been going on for a couple of hours. We cannot have a conversation it is so loud. So annoying. Impossible to relax.

The worst Marriott experience I’ve had in a long while. Where to begin? I know this is on Bourbon, so they have to deal with a ….certain type of guest. However, when the bartender acuses me of “‘taking pictures of the drink menu’ (I assume to steal her recipes?) we’ve dropped standards. Location-wise, it’s on bourbon and walkable to any place.… Read more

However, when the bartender acuses me of “‘taking pictures of the drink menu’ (I assume to steal her recipes?) we’ve dropped standards. Location-wise, it’s on bourbon and walkable to any place. The rooms are smallish, the carpets dirt, the staff…alright. I wouldn’t return but if you prefer to be on bourbon and need to stay at a marriott ….this may be for you. Read less

Arrived around 9pm local time, but our body clocks were still on UK time and telling us is was 3am and we were desperate for sleep. Allocated our room, it directly overlooking Bourbon Street, we were shocked at the cacophony of noise, that was unrelenting until 4am local time. It really is a ‘party street’, with revellers enjoying copious amounts of booze, singing and dancing plus the air was heavy with the fragrance of pot. I should have done more research! The Marriott website says “Relax at our Hotel on Bourbon Street in New Orleans”. Mmmm Rooms were clean and housekeeping provided every other day. In room safe big enough to accommodate laptop. Next morning, we requested a room change and given room 417 - right at the back of the hotel - and whilst you could hear some noise, it was so much better. Happier in our new room, it was a good location to explore New Orleans. Read less
