The hotel

Rubbing shoulders with America’s biggest country music attractions, Hilton Nashville Downtown guarantees you’ll make the most of every moment you’re in town. With Walk of Fame Park as your front garden, leading you straight to the Country Music Hall of Fame, it’s also just a block from Ryman Auditorium and near Nashville’s famous honky tonk bars. You can kick off your day with breakfast at the hotel’s MarketStreet, before hitting the gym or taking in Nashville’s sights – or more importantly its sounds. And, whether you’re back for lunch, dinner, or just evening cocktails, you’ve got the striking atrium’s Symphony Café, The Palm Steakhouse, and the authentic Abruzzi tastes of its Italian restaurant, Il Mulino Trattoria, to pick from. Although, as this is an all-suite hotel, you may be tempted to just order room service instead.

We chose this as 1) we like Hilton 2) location, location, location. Location is everything snd this was perfect! Our room was amazing, larger than most. It is a hotel with a great bar and a couple of shops. We liked it here as it was a bit upscale for us.

We chose the Hilton Downtown as we were only in Nashville for a few days and it was the most centrally placed hotel. The rooms are all suites and very comfortable, although a little colourless, with a separate bedroom and lounge, beds were extremely comfortable and bathroom well equipped with good toiletries. I was rather disappointed by the absence of any tea/coffee facilities even though, on the hotel website, coffee machines are advertised in each suite. Breakfast in the Marketplace restaurant was a plentiful buffet with a lovely chef making omelettes and other egg dishes and, rather than eat in a formal restaurant, we opted to eat of a small menu in the Symphony Lounge, served by a very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly young man named Cory. As there was not a concierge on duty, a lovely receptionist lady called George was a fantastic help to me when trying to book tickets for the Grand Ole Opry in my phone so a very big thank you to her. I recommend the Hilton Downtown for its central location and very friendly staff. Read less

This is our third time staying at this hotel and we have had issues 2 out of the 3 stays. The first time we paid for the rate that included breakfast. During our stay no one knew how to redeem the breakfast. So that was a fail. During that stay we realized that this Hilton had an executive lounge that included breakfast. It also specifically says in the Hilton app that breakfast is included in the executive lounge. That is not the case, there is only coffee. Also, the lounge was not clean and poorly maintained. Part of the Hilton brand and Diamond experience is the lounge. I’m a 20 year diamond member and to me this is false advertising. This Hilton is nice but the rooms are dated when compared to other options. The location is awesome but the Embassy Suites and Grand Hyatt are brand new and double the room size. We were actually going to stay at the Grand Hyatt but decided to stay at the Hilton due to the location and that breakfast was included as it is at the Hyatt. It’s fine if breakfast is not in the lounge but if that’s the case take off of your website. We complained to the hotel and asked to hear from management and we received no response. Again…dated hotel and overpriced most of the time. Read less

The best thing about this hotel is the location however, the vibe is way nicer just up forth street a bit. This hotel lacks character and has no real area to relax inside or out. Just a big atrium of sorts at main enterance. It is old and not overly clean. I would not come back. There are many other less expensive better hotels to choose from.

Stayed here for three nights. The hotel is modern and very conveniently located- within walking distance of all of the downtown sites, including the football stadium across the river.
