The hotel

Boasting some of Las Vegas’ finest rooms and suites after a $380 million dollar transformation, it’s easy to understand why. The accommodation is divided between four majestic towers with wonderful views of the Las Vegas Strip, the Spring Mountains and the hotel’s incredible pool. Then there's the Tank, as the swimming complex is known, comes complete with a shark tank, 3-storey waterslide and 13 private cabanas for hire. There’s also an infinity pool, aptly named The Hideout, which is strictly for adults only. Other temptations include a superb spa with steam rooms, sauna, massage and beauty treatments plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre to work off those American-sized portions! Several restaurants are at your disposal, including Vic and Anthony’s, one of the country’s finest steakhouses. Alternatively, head to Chart House for sumptuous seafood, Red for Pan-Asian cuisine or Grotto for Italian fare. Come sundown, Troy Liquor Bar is the place to be with a lively atmosphere, DJs and exotic cocktails. An incredible hotel with an incredible range of amenities, look out in particular for the Hand of Faith in the lobby - a 61-pound gold nugget found in Australia in 1980 with a metal detector just six inches below ground – now that’s Lady Luck at her finest!

My husband and I had an amazing time celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary at the Golden Nugget and Fremont Street! Will definitely come back, very soon!

If i could give this a zero i would.. Our last night staying here we were ROBBED WHILE ASLEEP. I woke up at 4am to use the restroom when i woke up i saw our hotel door wide open with a chair holding it open. As soon as i noticed that i saw my husbands suitcase and wallet was missing. We called security they came up to the room to scan the door, got our report and that was it. While waiting to see if someone could turn in my husband’s belongings the security found his suitcase only in the 10th floor stairwell.. we were staying on the 15th floor. With that being said you need your room key to access your the floor your staying on & use your room key to get into your room. With checking everything the door latch to lock on the inside was broken so how could we feel safe. Golden nuggets security said we have to wait till risk management investigates and it will take 3-5 days. How can we wait when we had to get home. While all of this happened my husband had to go through a hassle with tsa because these people had to steal his wallet with everything in there. We’ve asked 4 times to see if we can see any footage of the time the people or person went into our room. And they said they couldn’t do anything about it. We’ve asked for a corporate number and gave me a wrong number and called again and kept giving me “risk management” number. The manager Collin Simpson was really rude when we were only trying to get some answers. The scary part of it was that they went into our room when we were asleep. You never know what could have happened if we woke up in the middle of them robbing us. Just the whole experience everyone was not helping. Did anyone else have this problem did y’all get legal help? Could someone let me know. Read less

Reversed a room in March for $589.86 and when I checked out the room costed $846.37, a 44% increase. That was just the room nothing charged to it. I didn't notice until after I looked at the reservation that it didn't list daily room rates or discounts, it was vague, most like purposefully. They knew I didn't have a choice once I was there so… Read more

We were in the Carson Tower. Apparantly it is the lesser tower. The room offered no coffee, refrigerator, or microwave. It is a big room with a chair and table, TV, and drawers for clothes. For $49.72 a day resort fee we got a total of 4 bottles of water, access to internet for 2 devices, and use of a workout area. Pool is not included as part of resort fee. Why? Because on a weekend if you don't spend $50 to rent a chair you probably won't get one. The public can buy their way into the pool. The room is dated and needs remodeling or new carpet and wallpaper. The bathroom needs an upgrade. The hallway carpet could use a wash. As everywhere there is no housekeeping unless you request it. The Nugget was once the nicest place downtown. I can stay elsewhere and get a room as nice without a resort fee ( Four Queens or Binions) for the price of a resort fee. I guess if you upgrade to a different tower it is better. The restaurants are great and there is a good choice. But you need not stay there to use them. Read less

The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. There was a small issue with our room and maintenance was there to fix the problem almost immediately. Everything was clean and comfortable.
