The hotel

What a unique place! The lifts ascend diagonally up the pyramid wall and the beam of light that shines from the top can be seen from 10 miles up in space. Vegas gets hotter than Egypt in the summer, so you’ll appreciate the 5-acre pool area with 4 pools, as well as a new adult VIP pool* section. Check out the hotel's dining options too — there's Diablos Cantina, Tender Steakhouse, Backstage Deli, Pyramid Café, Public House, and The Buffet at Luxor. In the sumptuous Nurture Spa, you can enjoy treatments like botanical body buffs, Swedish massages and refresher facials. Blue Man Group is comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. You'll be closer to the action than ever before at the specially designed Blue Man Theatre at Luxor Hotel and Casino. It's an outrageous multi-sensory experience you'll never forget.

This was one of the worse hotel rooms we have ever had. Ceiling above shower was peeling off. Shower door broke and wouldn’t open. Room was old and dated with a TV that didn’t work very well. Elevators were in bad shape too with the wall paper peeling and there was a bad smell in the halls.

The reason everything was great was the front desk team taking what could have been a devastating situation of unexpecting downsizing to a great one to make sure my experience was nothing short of amazing. There is a reason I only choose to stay at Luxor in Las Vegas and their front desk team proved again that I have chosen wisely !

Day 1. Room smelled like weed so I called the front desk. They asked for me to come down to swap the room and I specifically asked whether it's ok for my son to stay in the room as he was too tired. When I waited like 40 min in long line, they refused to swap the room as I have "used" it. After 10-15 min of arguing, by midnight, I was able to move to another room. Drain issues. No apologies whatsoever. Day2 our tower (gold) got flooded. No explanation. My room was wet and the carpet was soggy so I was sent to another room which smelled like sewer (second fl). We had to walk up seven flight of stairs and had to bring down suitcases. In three days, I had three room with issues. What are the chances ? The hotel may have been nice at one point but looks tired and has obvious issues that requires more than cosmetic upgrades. I will never be staying here again. Read less
