Terrible Hotel Experience! We stayed at a hotel that was advertised as 4 stars. From the photos, it looked brand new. However, when we checked in, the hotel was in awful condition. Room Condition: All the furniture was broken and in very poor condition. The bathroom tiles were cracked, and I cut my foot. The floor was damaged and uneven, which was a safety hazard. The sink was broken. When we approached the reception to cancel our room, we were denied and told to contact management. We called over 10 times but could never get through. We requested the reception to have someone contact us, but no one ever did. We were forced to endure this terrible hotel for our entire vacation. It completely ruined our trip. This hotel is nowhere near 4 stars; it’s the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in America. We paid $3000 for 6 days. A hotel of this quality and service should cost no more than $50 a night. Lost Valuable Item: Upon checkout, I left my valuable Cartier jewelry on the sink, a precious gift from my mother. Discovering it missing in the evening, I immediately called the hotel. I spoke to someone from housekeeping who blamed me for only realizing it was missing at 10 PM. She yelled at me, saying it was normal that they didn’t call after cleaning, and that I had no right to question if it might have been stolen since they didn’t call during checkout. She refused to give her name, and another operator, who was handling incoming calls, also refused to provide the director’s name or the name of the person I spoke with earlier. Then she hung up on me. The next day, the housekeeping director called me and briefly said the jewelry was not found. The conversation lasted only 10 seconds. If you choose this hotel and something goes wrong, you will be left to deal with your problems alone. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. This experience put me in a depressive state due to the hostile treatment by the staff. Read less
