AVOID THIS HOTEL I'm going to preface this by saying this is completely true. I say this because my complaints mount up very quickly that it may seem fake, but I assure you it's not. This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It started right away as my wife and I took one step into our room that wreaked of cigarette smoke in this non-smoking hotel. So we took all of our luggage back down to complain and get supposedly the last remaining available room. Our room: The worst pillows i've ever had, and the bed while fine for a single person it's awful for two. If the other person shifts at all, the bed is so springy that it rocks you awake like you're on a boat. The air conditioner front panel was loose / broken so it made a loud obnoxious rattle half the time. The shower is so extremely small that both my elbows could touch the sides just barely extending them outwards. Lastly, over half of the TV channels would not get a signal, and our wifi kept cutting out. Gym: One of the reason we chose this hotel over others I found was that I called ahead of time to see about a bike. Sure enough I was told this hotel actually had a Peloton, which my wife rides religiously! First thing in the morning, I get a text from her that the bike wouldn't connect to the hotel wifi, rendering it useless. We immediately complained to multiple managers and staff EVERY SINGLE DAY, and this was never resolved. On top of that, 2 other machines were out of service, AND I personally witnessed another guest running full speed on the treadmill when suddenly it's power abruptly cut out and he almost got injured. Hotel: The second day we were there they cut off the water from 10am-3pm for some pipe maintenance. We scheduled to come back at 3 to avoid all of that, however the water wasn't turned back on until 4:30. Guests were directly to the next door hotel's basement if they needed to use a restroom. I would have complained about all of this to the person who checked us out when we left, only after finally getting her attention from her phone she didn't even ask me how our stay was. That's a first for me. All in all, worst hotel I've ever stayed at.... and I was bitten by fleas in Venice Italy once. Read less

Our 3 night stay was exactly what we needed! We were there to see some Broadway shows and see the sights. Huge kudos to bellman Joseph for being a trusting resource for all of our needs. He helped us get Big Bus tickets and a car to JFK when we left. Here are the pros and cons that stood out to me. PROs - Great location to Time Square, subway stops, bus stops and Broadway theatres, walking distance to Central Park and Rockefeller Center - Clean rooms, mesmerizing city views - Rooftop observation view (keep in mind it’s only - view from the north side of the building). - Friendly staff, always asking if we need water, even gave us warm cookies a couple of times - Breakfast hours are long 6-10am - Awesome bellman, Joseph. If you meet him you will understand. - I needed a fridge, due to a condition I am dealing with, and they were kind enough to bring up one to the room for us, free of charge. Thank you Jennifer! -Carnegie Pizza a couple of buildings down is yummy! Open late! CONs - Keep in mind that the “early check-in” perk is only if there is availability. We had asked for the perk upgrade when we reserved the hotel, but it was not an option when we arrived. In fact our room was not ready when we arrived back at 3pm for regular check-in. - With 3 elevators (guessing there is no service elevator since we say employees all the time) and 31 floors, when you can get on one, you’re going to be on it for a while if you are staying on a top floor (we were on 29). The elevators are little and after a couple of stops we would be packed (approx 10 people) but the elevator is still stopping at several stops on the way down. Plan your day accordingly. Be ready to leave after you eat breakfast, going back up to your room can take a long time. I’d say 8am-10am is the busiest. But we came back to go up to our room at 10pm one night and there was an extremely long line to go up. - Breakfast is pretty basic (waffles, oatmeal, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal). Would have loved some fruit options, especially a banana, but never saw any. All - in-all. I would stay here again, now that I have a little strategy knowledge under my belt. I have stayed at several other NYC Times Square hotels and this one is in my top 3. Read less

Brianna in particular was amazing for her warm spirit and hospitality, she made sure that we had our room ready despite us checking in in the morning. When you catch a red eye, this level of service goes miles! On top of that, the entire hotel staff has been delightful to be around. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful establishment! The hotel room was perfectly adequate for two people. It was cleaned every other day and came complete with everything you need. The only negative was the breakfast, it's fairly limited and the first morning was like a bun fight for the waffle making machines. Staff were friendly and helpful and they stored our bags until it was time to leave. I would definitely recommend it for a short to medium stay. Read less
