This hotel was based in very good location 50th street on 3rd avenue, its walking distance from 5th avenue, times square (and a beautiful walk past 5th avenue, st. patricks cathedral, rockefeller center and radio city hall, honestly iconic walk), one block away from subway, two blocks from grand central station. the location was brilliantly close but perfectly distant from the touristic areas. the hotel it self was small and personal but extremely modern and stunning, the suite we had was a two bed room but had a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, storage cupboards etc, the bathroom was stunning with marble vanity table, light up mirror and stand in bath shower. we had a view of middle east side and 3rd avenue which i love people watching so couldnt have been better. The staff are incredible, im a smoker so spent a lot of time at the front door smoking and chatting with the staff, and well i tell you i made a good friend in ROMEO (door man) it actually made my holiday he gave me all the secrets to the city and told me the best places to go based on our family preferences he is the most humble and friendly guy i have ever met travelling he is an absolute gem of the hotel, and in case you get to read this MR Daniel (shreck lol) really appreciated your time and companionship my friend. When i go back to NYC i will definately book here again and you should too Read less

The five us country bumpkins from upstate NY stayed here for a night. The hotel itself was spotless and beautiful. The doormen were met were very kind and helpful (as we had no clue what we were doing in a big city). We had to call room service once for bedding for the pullout sofa. We didn’t have to worry about putting our car anywhere. We didn’t get a room facing the street - but it was still very nice. Read less

This may be the best hotel, for the best value, of any of the dozens of hotels where I've stayed in New York over the past 38 years of regular business visits. The Front Desk staff are friendly and professional; the rooms are huge (by New York standards) and very clean; the location is good, and little bonuses---$10 a day to buy juices and protein bars--suggest a friendly spirit. It's also nicely sized, with gracious guests, and sleek without being pretentious. I hope to keep staying here every time I come to New York. Read less

The hotel is a little dated and the rooms do not look like the pictures on the website, but the rooms are big and clean. We were a family of 4 and booked a suite. We had two double beds and a large sofa bed and there was still plenty of room. Because of the reviews we asked to see the room before committing to it. We were shown one room (but felt that it was a bit dated) and requested to see an alternative one. The second room was also dated, but felt quieter and slightly more spacious, so agreed to the second one shown. Separate kitchen, although no door separating it from sleeping area. The kitchen was perfect for breakfast and reheating convenience food, but not really for cooking a meal for four. Downside is that there is no table to sit at, but our children found it a novelty eating on their beds! There was a coffee machine with coffee replenished every day. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The guys on the door were very friendly and welcoming. We did not find it noisy, neither from other rooms nor from outside. The air con was a little noisy, but bearable. We were informed already about the resort fee so that did not come as a surprise. You receive a credit to use in the little snack shop, so we made sure we took full advantage of that. The location is perfect for all the sites and subway. It was very easy to get to the hotel from the airport using the subway. Overall, very pleasant, very clean and would recommend it for families. Read less
