The hotel

Is there anywhere better for shopping than Manhattan? You’d be hard pushed to find so. And if shopping is your reason to visit New York, then this is a great base to do so. Branding themselves as a ‘micro’ boutique, the Arlo SoHo offers far more than this. The rooms are designed to be compact, but trendy, just like the neighbourhood it sits in. The communal library turns from a chilled place to check your emails, and read a book by day, to a buzz of conversation, board games, and chilled drinks as the evening comes in. And if it’s a nice day, why not move out to the courtyard with your refreshments, although you also don’t want to miss the views from the rooftop bar as the sun is lowering and the NYC lights come alive. The rooms are effortlessly cool, with a homely feel, and will have you rejuvenated for another day of hitting the shops or walking by the Hudson.

Bunk room with city or courtyard views, and twin bunk beds, each with their individual TV, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Twin Rooms with city or courtyard views, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

City Room with 1 king-size bed or 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Terrace Room featuring city views from the furnished balcony, and either 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 


Lindens (modern American restaurant, open for dinner Tues-Sat). A.R.T. SoHo (rooftop bar serving grilled snacks, small plates, and an excellent selection of drinks). Lobby Bar (with outdoor courtyard). Bodega (24-hour pantry). 

Weekly fitness sesstions*. Complimentary Arlo bicycles (temporarily unavailable). The Library, a multi-use common area with a selection of board games, movies, and cocktail service from the lobby bar.

Comfortable room with great amenities and aesthetic, and the location is great. The staff is professional, welcoming and helpful (shoutout to Alejandro). My only regret is only being able to stay a single night on this trip. Looking forward to my next stay.

The Hotel Arlo is one smart Hotel. The rooms are small but the philosophy here is quality over quantity. The mattresses are comfortable, sheets and linens tops, all allowing for a good nights sleep. The layout of the rooms is thoughtful and efficient. The staff is responsive and friendly. Extremely good value in a quiet and clean SoHo neighborhood,

Really nice hotel with good amenities and perfect location. Amazing customer service from Edwyn - he's the best! Room was surprisingly bigger than anticipated but obviously they are still small. One of the perks of staying there is you can ask for Citi bike day passes which makes getting around the city a lot easier. Had a "courtyard" room and they start to play music in the courtyard for the restaurant around 7-8am, which if you trying to sleep in would require ear plugs for. But probably a good idea to bring those anywhere in NYC. Read less

I recommend this hotel to everyone. It’s beautiful, clean and near a subway station. Edwin was really helpful on our check in. The vibes on this hotel are great, everyone is nice to you and the view for the rooms it’s stunning, I would absolutely come back.

I have stayed at the Arlo several times for work trips to NYC and it is always a great experience. The rooms are well designed, and although small have everything one needs. The food/rooftop bar have great options and the location is excellent near soho. The staff are friendly and accommodating of requests. In particular , Ivan is hard working the lobby and has helped me with my bags on multiple occasions when I need to store them for a couple hours ahead of a trip to the airport. I will be back.
