Indigo was a great place to stay. Good location, near good music venues with Stubbs and Mohawk both across the road. The capitol is within walking distance as well. Karl and Jacob were really helpful staff and made the stay really nice and friendly. Thanks very much. We will be back.

When you walk into a room & find ear plugs on the nightstand with a note reading -- "Goodnight noises everywhere" -- you know there is probably going to be noise issues (photo attached). This hotel is at the corner of Red River & 9th St. Directly across 9th street is a bar with an open-air stage & outdoor entertainment area, which began pounding music about 9:40PM on a Wednesday night that continued until just after 1:00A. Directly across Red River St is another restaurant & bar with an outdoor concert venue that can accommodate almost 2,000 persons when sold out. As such, DO NOT -- repeat DO NOT accept rooms that face EITHER street. Insist on rooms that face the back of the hotel, since it will help somewhat with the noise, but not eliminate it totally. Then there is the issue of poor employee training in the case of an emergency: at 5:40AM the fire alarm went off throughout the hotel with the message: "An emergency has taken place in the hotel. Stop your activities & exit the building". However, it was a false alarm, but ONLY the employees were aware of this fact & they made NO follow up announcement to guests to properly inform them that evacuating the hotel at 5:40AM was NOT required. The employees simply ignored any further action & failed to notify guests of the incorrect alarm. NOT good & NOT professional. Management needs far better employee training in regard to such instances. Overall, all the employees encountered were polite, courteous & pleasant, & housekeeping was very acceptable. Unfortunately, the noise from the 2 immediately adjacent open air concert venues will keep us from returning. Read less

Karl welcomed me by name bc he recognized my voice from a previous call I made to ask about parking. Karl was very quick to meet my accommodation request! He made aure there was bottled water in the rooms and make great suggestions on restaurants in the area. I will stay here again when I am in Austin and I am definitely going to be looking for Karl and give him a big hug because he treated us like family and he is welcome to our home anytime. Thank you Hotel Indigo and Karl for making us feel at home❤️💜 Read less

Such a beautiful hotel. I’ve been to the locations in Pittsburgh, Houston, and Jacksonville, this hotel has great service. Karl at the front desk was an amazing help assisting me with finding my room and the best spots to grab a drink and listen to music. Thanks for the hospitality!
