The hotel

This modern resort is split into two hotels and occupies 300 ft of south coast beachfront. It doesn't matter which hotel you stay in, as you are free to use the facilities at both. This means you can enjoy two swimming pools, an oceanfront restaurant and, of course, a selection of complimentary non-motorised water sports along the lovely white sand beach. Coral Mist and Blue Orchids Hotels have the added advantage of being only a 5-minute drive from the shops, bars and restaurants of the lively St Lawrence Gap.

2 week stay at a lovely hotel. Staff; friendly, helpful and spot on, always smiling and pleasant. Restaurant: drinks prices are expensive, though at 10bbd a bottle of beer, we would of paid this If the staff were not so rude, Hotel itself is perfectly located, within easy reach of Rockley Beach, Shops, Restaurants, Worthing court and not forgetting the devinchies pub for a flask of rum, bottle of coke and bucket of ice and the best fish cutter and amazingly cheap priced (turn right out the hotel and it’s near the traffic lights) The fact that all rooms have a sea view is fantastic, the rooms are cleaned daily and shower gel/shampoo pumps provided. Maybe a little dated, though we did not go to Babados to sit in our room, want posh you will pay double even triple. The only negative which the hotel has no control over Mother Nature, is the seaweed/sea grass, we had 4 days of beautiful Caribbean clear sea to swim in, the remaining 10 days the sea was ruined by Seagrass, yet Carlisle Bay was clear, so no hardship to jump on a reggae bus. We would definitely book this hotel again in a heart beat, the location is amazing and price spot on. Read less

Room 323, perfect room, amazing facilities, cleaned every day by our lovely maid. Full kitchen, fridge freezer, full cooker, every cooking pot/pan, microwave, coffeemaker, kettle and toaster. Bed very comfortable and huge, sleep quality very good (after getting used to the sound of the waves on the first night). Should we return to Barbados one day we would definitely stay at Coral Mist again Read less

The rooms were really clean, spacious and just great for us. The location of the hotel was ideal with supermarkets, a cool food court market and a really pretty boardwalk basically on the doorstep! We also watched a turtle lay her eggs one night on the beach! We will be definitely be returning to this beautiful island and hotel, thank you so much for an amazing stay! Read less

My sister in law and I love this home from home. The location, the staff and the chill of this place is special. Special thank you’s to Shanice, Sinitta, Reggie, Liverpool and Denise amongst many more I could mention. The welcome from Reggie and his amazing memory made us feel so at home as soon as we got out of our cab, then to find shanice and Sinitta still there and again remembering us was very special. The amount of returning clients speaks volumes about this place and the same staff. The rooms are clean and generally spacious. The room we were allocated was great, but we asked to be moved to the section we had stayed in previously and shanice organised this as soon as she could. The restaurant has upped its game and has super staff and the menu, albeit small was executed very well. Maybe a little bar near the pool might encourage more business with some simple lunchtime food maybe grilled being offered. That being said a member of staff from the restaurant came round to see if we had any orders for lunch everyday. There is only one little criticism and that is the beach. On staying previously the beach was raked and pristine every morning, sadly this did not happen and the seaweed that was blown in from the sea one day was not removed and looked unsightly; it led to sandflies. This did not ruin the holiday at all, but looked unsightly and was not pleasant. We appreciate that this is a small detail in the big scheme of things, but hopefully this can be rectified going forward as an everyday routine as it once was. The leaves from the tree by the pool again were left and again is difficult when the old leaves are falling constantly. As a suggestion could there be sun umbrellas by the pool for the sun beds and could the broken sun beds be discarded. Just very minor suggestions. I cannot wait to return and I miss the fun and joy this place gives me. Hope to see you all soon. Xxxx Read less
