What’s better than one Disney Water Park? Two of them! Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park in Florida is the sister Park of the nearby Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, but instead of a wind-ravaged tropical paradise, this Park’s innovative theme is a chilly one!
It’s part of the magnificent Walt Disney World Resort, so you know what to expect – fun, fun, and more fun.

This slide will send you plunging down Mount Gushmore at a breathtaking speed. Don’t underestimate this doozy – it’s an almost vertical drop down the equivalent of 12 storeys, through a dark tunnel and into a white-water plunge pool at the bottom, after a 360-foot-long descent.
Start training for ‘the big one’ on this 90-foot, high-speed waterslide in the shadow of Summit Plummet. It’s not quite as scary as Summit Plummet but still packs a punch.
The perfect play area for those who may be a bit too young for the big rides. This scaled-down attraction boasts miniature slides and an inner-tube ride designed purely for juniors, alongside a wading pool featuring ‘melting’ snow sculptures.
Get the family together and race your way down to the bottom in this 8-lane slalom slide. It’s fast, it’s exhilarating, and it’s great fun, finishing with a big splash at the end.
An oasis at the foot of Mt Gushmore, this one-acre wave pool is the perfect chill-out zone. Listen to the sound of the surf as gentle azure waves lap the shore, or grab an inner tube and bob merrily out at sea.

Although this Disney Water Park may be smaller than its cousins elsewhere in the Resort, a map is always useful for finding your way around.
You can either use the maps that are dotted around the Park, ask for a paper map when you enter, or play it smart and go online and download the My Disney Experience app **.
Opening hours, closures and restrictions
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is open from 10am to 8pm during summer months and 10am to 5pm in the colder months, seven days a week.
Because all Water Parks need a higher level of maintenance and repair to keep them running in tip-top condition, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Parks may occasionally be closed for routine repairs. During that time, you’ll find its sister park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, will be open for business as usual. Maintenance usually takes place during the autumn and winter months.
The Park may also close occasionally due to adverse weather conditions, particularly during hurricane season.
Some rides may not be suitable for young children and will have a height restriction on them. If you’re not sure, simply ask any of the friendly Park staff and they’ll be able to advise you.

*7 Day Disney Magic Tickets are valid for 7 days over a 15 day period, and 14 Day Disney Magic Tickets are valid for 14 days over an 18 day period from the start date selected at time of booking. For child tickets, children must be aged 3-9 at the time of use.

^Memory Maker includes Disney PhotoPass photos and other digital content taken during the Memory Maker window and linked to the Memory Maker guest’s Disney account.
