My husband and I stayed here for our ten year wedding anniversary. We stayed in a junior suite, which was a large room with a garden view. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we spent the week being spoilt. The hotel has two pools. The main one is very large and warm and has a lot of loungers and day beds and even some seats in the water where you can sit and order from the bar. There is also an adults-only pool which is an infinity pool looking out over the beach, and this pool has larger day beds which are great, when you can find an open one. The hotel has also set out numerous loungers with shade on the beach itself, which has white sand and beautiful water to swim in. We were on an all-inclusive package, and so we really enjoyed trying out as many cocktails as possible, and there are a lot to try! When you sit by the pool or the beach there is a service button to call a waiter to bring you drinks whenever you want. What luxury! The hotel has 5 restaurants, and we tried all of them. There is the main buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner which had a variation of different meals, and mainly curries. I must say that the lamb curries were delicious! We also ate at the Asian restaurant, which was nice. The Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner was great, I really enjoyed their pasta in particular. Tides, which is the seafood restaurant on the beach is a great place for lunch and dinner. The resort gave us a special anniversary dinner at Tides, which was really thoughtful and romantic. We also paid extra to eat at Hasu, the Japanese restaurant which had great sushi and lobster. The only thing about the all-inclusive is that it is a "mostly inclusive", there are items to look out for everywhere that are for an extra charge, so just be aware. We used the spa while we were at the resort and it was lovely. Our massages and relaxing time were great. The resort offers free green fees and transfers to Isle Aux Cerf for golf, which my husband took advantage of and enjoyed. He would definitely do this again if we come back. We enjoyed the free snorkeling and glass bottom boat from the hotel boat house. There are a lot of activities on offer. All in all, we had a very relaxing and romantic time at this beautiful resort and would definitely recommend it as a resort to try. Read less

We arrived after our 12 hour air flight to a very warm welcome. We were celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary (coral) so a very appropriate venue being surrounded by the reef. This was our 3rd stay at Long Beach so knew what we had to look forward to. After a couple of miscommunications we were finally accommodated in a beautiful room. Our maid Babita (hope I spelt that correctly) was just wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. We felt so very spoilt with little notes and flowers and beautiful towel/flower decors. They work so hard in the background to make our holiday so delightful. I would like also to say a big thank you to Guest Relations who were always available and listened to any problems and arranged anything that was needed. Our waitresses in the Buffet for breakfast Anastasia, Samia & Celine were always attentive and actually pre-empted most times arriving with our chosen choice of drink. Always in good humour. The staff at Tides Restaurant where we ate our lunch most days were also exceptional. Gayetree & Shannon stand out. The Beach Manager Muddoo was always around and speaking with guests to make sure all was well and they were being well looked after. So helpful if you needed any information and very approachable. Last but not least the bar staff at Shores were fantastic and always making sure people were attended to. I didn’t sadly get names but to be fair they were all excellent and worked as a great team. We went to Sapori the Italian restaurant a few times and the food and service again was 5 star. We also attended a Cocktail Party thrown for guests to mingle and had the please of speaking to Christian Jaquier the hotel manager. So nice to hear that he appreciated us being customers who had returned. We did say this was due to the fantastic service and wonderful staff. The hotel itself is beautiful and set in gorgeous grounds. The fact that it sits beside a white sandy beach is again a big draw for us. Please keep up the good work everyone. It’s hard to attain 5 stars but even harder to keep attaining what 5 stars stand for. Customers whether old or new should always be made to feel appreciated and never taken for granted. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Look forward to hopefully visiting again soon and seeing lots of friendly families faces. I understand that they may be refurbishing soon which is always good to hear as obviously different areas can soon become tired looking with so many visitors travelling through. The bedrooms are so well thought out and designed so I hope they don’t change too much there other than a freshen up. Thank thou to all at Long Beach for a wonderful and memorable Coral Anniversary from both myself and my husband Roy. Read less

I have to start my review by mentioning the staff before the hotel, it’s the staff who made this the greatest holiday we’ve ever had, the fact the hotel is also incredible is a bonus! Dolores went above and beyond to make this trip perfect for us, we can’t thank you enough, the hotel wouldn’t be the same without you. Every member of staff is so polite and happy, placing a hand over their heart when they greet you which I just absolutely love. Special mention to Krishna, Ven and Cynthia who looked after us every day without fail. And a very special mention to Elvis and Vicky. Elvis took such great care of us in the restaurants, always making us laugh and making sure we were being looked after. And Vicky who went that extra mile to look after us in Shores Bar, always taking the time to talk to us every day. The hotel is beautifully clean and well equipped, the restaurants offer the most incredible food to suit everyone’s needs. This really is the place to come for a memorable holiday, it’s certainly been our holiday of a lifetime. Traveler tip - Ile Aux Cerfs You HAVE to visit this island, and long beach couldn’t make it any easier to do so. We went early which I strongly advise, left the hotel at about 8:30am. You book a taxi at reception costs 2300 rupees return, ask them to take you to long beach’s jetty, you board a small shared boat which is free of charge as you stay at long beach, make the quick 10 minute journey on calm waters to the island. The island is then yours to discover, I highly recommend contacting Steeven TI Moustik Tour Ltd, a worker of the island mentioned the option of getting a private boat to visit the local water falls with Steeven and do some snorkelling, best money we spent as it gave us a 2 hour private experience. When you’re ready to come back you simply hop on the boat back to the jetty, and get a taxi Read less
