Not just a hotel, Zilwa Attitude is more of an experience, embracing the life of the islanders. With a relaxed village feel, it is packed with authentic Mauritian experiences so you’ll truly feel like one of the natives after a week or two here. In a beautiful location, overlooking endless stretches of sandy beach and with stunning views of no less than five islands, it is a slice of heaven. Just a few minutes away by boat, or a short paddle, is Grand Zil where you can while away a few hours on a lounger and perhaps tuck in to a barbecue lunch — or enjoy a rejuvenating massage on the smaller Ti Zil. Rooms are inspired from traditional seaside bungalows and are contemporary in design but rustic too with rough white-washed walls and brushed cement floors. Embracing bright colours, there's a choice of room types, as well as family rooms, apartments and suites by the sea. Book a treatment at the world-class spa and take some time to chill on a day bed in the relaxation garden whilst listening to the twitter of birdsong. As you kick back, the little ones will be kept happy at the kids' club, with a fun garden, a games room and a large boat to explore and escape the sun ! There are seven restaurants at Zilwa, offering cuisines from European to Creole, Indian and Asian, and the All Inclusive dine-around experience means you can discover wonderful varied meals each day of your stay.

A holiday like never before. Zilwa, a property where the offerings were beyond our expectations. Room- Wonderful sea facing with magnificent view of the lagoon and island. Room was well maintained clean and simply great. Beach- Lots of choices with different locations of sun beds, pool , kids pool and the long beach. Food - Fooding has been great. Lots of varieties at the main restaurant and top quality of food at the a la carte restaurant. We did try some a la carte and it was equally good. The main dinning area is normally very crowded during the peak time, however the guys will try their best to assist you. The heart of the hotel is actually the bar. One’s can enjoy a huge variety of beverages made to perfection. If you are a picky drinker like us, the bar manager Yash will definitely caters for your preferences. We did enjoy some very nice cocktails, with the high level of service. The team is very motivated and attentive and would do what they can to assist you with. Special thanks to : Yash the bar manager, Nitin, Arvin, Rohan, Jim, Vinesh, Karuna, Dursan, Ashley. Read less

We had an emotional journey in fulfilling this holiday as as shortly after booking, i needed surgery. However my surgeon was able to accomodate my holiday as part of my recovery. We also had travel insurance issues. We finally arrived on the 25 April after a 12 hour flight. We had a TUI taxi transfer which took just over an hour and we arrived at the hotel lunchtime. Our luggage was taken from us and delivered to our room. We were then taken to a bar area with fantastic views and checked in with a lovely cooking drink and cool wet towel. We were quided to the QR codes whereby it took you to all the information about the hotel that you could possibly need. After check in, we were escorted to our room, with various places pointed out en route, towel exchange etc. We were in a beach front suite, room 3104 and the room was lovely and spacious. Lovely comfortable huge bed, desk with chair, lounge area, rain shower and separate toilet. Patio doors led out onto a terrace overlooking the beach, with two sunbeds, wooden umbrella, swing chair and chair with foot rest. The food in all restaurants was very good. We did find in the general buffet restaurant that they would have a themed night and maybe if you did not like the theme, then there was a very limited choice. We tried all the al la carte's and the one by the beach was by far our favourite. We did enjoy the indian one as well, together with the Thai. The mauritian one was our least favourite. We did the Gran Zil barbecue which again was very good with plenty of food and drink. We also went out on the glass bottom boat but did not see an awful lot. We did book the sunrise boat ride with the hotel, but it got cancelled and then I was unwell. We did the south tour of the island with TUI as this was a freebie that our local TUI branch threw in on our booking. We also did the five island tour and north tour with Bhai Vijay Victor Persand. We had two really good days out with him. He is very knowledgable and patient and will stay at places for as long as you want. We wanted to do a third trip, but unfortunately I was unwell the last few days. The staff are second to none and each and every member of staff were keen to ensure that we had a good holiday and they would regularly ask you as you walked around if everything was ok. Any grievances really and truly did get fed back to the appropriate personnel. We did not really see any of the entertainment and what little we did see of the entertainment, I do not feel that I had missed anything good. The bar by reception was hot, noisy and stuffy in the evenings and we preferred to sit in the beach bar, which was cooler and quieter and you could get to know the staff properly and mauritian culture as they had time to chat. I would like to thank Ashley (beach bar), Arvind (chef), Miranda and Sharmeen (waitresses, beach restaurant) for being so lovely and ensuring my stay was perfect. Once they knew of the difficulties we had experienced in actually getting to Mauritius, they all personally went out of their way to ensure I had a great dining experience in the beach restaurant. They also asked daily after me and even more so at the end of my stay when I was unwell. I was sad that I could not honour our last meal in the beach restaurant, but I had told to eat light bland food and Arvind's food is so delicious I could not trust myself! Our housekeeper also did a great job of keeping us clean and tidy and went above and beyond, ensuring we had clean sheets and towels. She also mopped daily. I would be hard pressed to find any negatives at the hotel, but if pressed, these would be:- Dogs - there are three dogs which wander around the site. Late afternoon, the dark brown one does get aggressive and barks and growls. On day 1 I was his vicitim and although shaking in my boots, I ignored. However had I been a child and started screaming and running, I fear what this dog would do to a child. Maybe the hotel need to address this. Infirmary - There is a Dr that comes on site and I had cause to see him in my last couple of days. I do feel that he should be given a larger purpose built area to work from. It was a bit unnerving talking about my medical issue in front of another guest who was having his finger attended to by another person. Maybe a bit more privacy could be given to guests in this area. This all said, we would truly like to visit again. Read less

Special thanks to Sachi who took good care of us and took time to discuss and gave us some good laughs.😁 Food experience was great. Large variety of food. Pools are beautiful and clean with turquoise tiles adding to the amazing beauty of it all. Only "negative" aspect was the entertainment that didn't match our music taste. And at night while going to the restaurant we missed some additional lights along the pathways. Overall wonderful experience. Will definitely come back Read less
