The hotel

This is the first of the Centara resorts in the UAE, and they’ve pulled out all the stops to create the ultimate family themed family resort to make your dream holiday come true. Inspired by mythical Thai and magical Arabian adventures, everything has been taken into consideration when it comes to suiting family trips, with interconnecting rooms and bunk beds available for all family sizes, and there’s even a childrens spa to sit alongside the adults one, so they can have their fair share of pampering too – after all, it’s tiring going down the water slides all day long! If you want to add that extra touch to your stay, upgrade to a Mirage room for access to the Family club lounge, complete with family-friendly check-in and a kids’ play area. It will be hard to pull them away from the adventure water park for food though, complete with water slides, high ropes, and a lazy river – it’s unlikely you’ll see much of them in the day, especially with the E-zone too. If this is the case, sneak away to the rooftop bar and enjoy a sundowner cocktail or a spot of shisha before dinner, overlooking the Arabian gulf.

607 rooms and suites, all with private balcony, air-conditioning, mini-bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, in-room safe, hair dryer, satellite TV, and complimentary WiFi access. 

Superior Rooms with city views, featuring 1 king-size bed and sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (under 16 years).

All Inclusive option includes: breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Suan Bua Restaurant. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner in the speciality restaurants: Uno Mas, Sands Beach Club, or Sheesh with a selection of dishes or buffet. There is an option to upgrade meals to an extensive menu available on a chargeable basis. For a la carte restaurants, one meal per person includes a starter, a main course, and a dessert. A selection of complimentary ice cream is available at the ice cream hut near Sands Beach Club. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are available from 11:00am-11:00pm. Timings are applicable after 11:00 am on the day of arrival until 1:00pm on the day of departure. 15% discount at SPA Cenvaree and Candy Kids Spa plus 10% discount on water sports. In-room dining and mini-bar are not included.

Premium Mirage All Inclusive option includes: the above benefits from the AlI Inclusive plan, plus exclusive access to the Mirage Family Lounge serving breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks. 30% discount at SPA Cenvaree and Candy Kids Spa. 15% discount on water sports activities. Currently here on a family holiday celebrating my husbands and my daughters birthday. We booked half board, however on our first day decided to upgrade to all inclusive. Spoke with the lady on reception who took the payment, and checked with a colleague that she had collected the money. We did think we had been overcharged and did question it, but was told it was correct. Following day we headed to reception to get our new wristbands to be told we had actually been over charged. The supervisor said she would refund the money to the card we paid on, she attempted to do this twice, but both declined, was told to come back later and try. So came back to reception that evening to be told the money had gone into the account- it definitely hadn't, we had receipts to prove they had been declined. Was told to come back the following day, to then be told the accountant is checking with the bank, but the bank is closed over the weekend, so come back Monday! (We leave Monday). The lady's response was to file a complaint and they will respond to us in the UK within 7 days! We have spent more time at reception trying to get OUR money back that the hotel wrongly charged us for than we have enjoying the actual holiday. Nobody is interested in helping. Toilets around the hotel are disgusting. I have been to many hotels in Dubai and would recommend staying at The Grand Hyatt, Double Tree by Hilton Marajan Island. Read less

Not much entertainment on a night but didn’t need it! All staff were amazing but shout to to Jana (bar man at the waves bar) - knew our orders and the fact we liked the beer / water in a cup! Abdulrahman- lifeguard at the kids pool! Amazing, even spotting little ones getting out of the pool and picking them up before they burnt their feet on the floor! Akshay - (uno mas) - remembered our room numbers, drinks etc. These special touches are the reason why we have booked the same hotel again! Food/ drinks choices amazing Room was lovely! If you have kids, go to the Dubai mall - kidzania Also hotel taxi very convenient to the airport & was provided with breakfast bag which had everything in! Can’t wait to return!!!! Read less

Great resort, so spacious, fresh and clean. Rooms are awesome. Sooo much to do especially for the kids. Food is great and nice variety of options. You can relax by the pool, enjoy all the slides, swim in the sea, everything you need and want in a holiday:)

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to on this occasion, The staff are more than helpful, I’m useless with names but on this occasion I did get the name of waiter around the pool area. He was super helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. So thank you Saugat you made our stay just as enjoyable. I’m going to stop going on with myself but all in all the hotel was amazing. Very children friendly. Always took care of our needs. Lama (waiter): very kind and supportive. Very children friendly. Always took care of our needs. !!! He surprised our daughter with a birthday cake and a birthday song during dinner time !!! Faruk Muhammad (driver, concierge): This man drove my daughter with me to a hospital because of her injury. He did not just drop us off in the hospital. He intermediated for us. After a denial of the Dubai hospital (no children’s doctor available) a immediately drove us to another emergency station. After another denial he took us to a pharmacy. He did not let us down and he always struggled to find the best solution for my daughters injury. I am very grateful to have met such a kind man and we highly appreciate his efforts and kindness. One negative fact I have to mention: Airplanes fly very frequently above the hotel even in the evening and at night. This needs to be mentioned prior booking. Read less
