As the name suggests, Yosemite View Lodge is so close to the park that any closer and you'd actually be in it! It also straddles the banks of the Merced River on which river rafting is available in season (Apr-Jun) together with excellent fishing. Spent 2 nights here in June 2024 - check in quick although staff were not over friendly and didn’t even offer a smile! Our room was clean but was in need of a refurbishment - doors were hanging loose from the kitchen doors, wallpaper peeling from the walls, air conditioning unit, dirty although working the fan direction could not be altered. We did expect a much better standard as we paid the same price per night as we did to stay at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Overall we did not think we received value for money at this hotel and would not recommend. We feel its trades on its location close to Yosemite National Park. Read less

I was pleasantly surprised! Location was great. Our room was clean and spacious. The grounds were definitely a plus. The playground and picnic area were a great spot to take our pizza that we ordered from the on site restaurant. Loved the river view. Game room is a work in progress it seems, but still a great space for kids. Pools were perfect… Read more

This was a great little queen suite. Most of the rooms have little balconies against the river which is nice. The shuttle into the park also stops here! The pool was very nice - they have a few - and it was overall a nice pleasant spot to stay. Quibbles are a lack of sidewalks. You have to walk through the parking lot a lot. The restaurant was okay, and a little pricey as well. And a room for four ought to have a table for four, in my opinion. Your mileage may vary - I think most people would be very happy here for a couple of nights especially since the draw is Yosemite. Read less

Nothing was available in the park so we stayed at the Yosemite View Lodge. For the price, it was okay. You are obviously paying a premium for being so close to the park. Nothing was outstanding about the room except the view of the river in the back. The room was clean and the pizza was good from the restaurant. It is maybe 3 star.

I was a little leary after reading some of the negative reviews, but when we entered our room there were no such problems to be had. The room had a private patio on the riverside (the Merced, straight from the valley), a kitchenette, and good kitchen equipment. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean. Parking was a contest and if you come back late from Yosemite (who wouldn't?) expect to park remotely from your room. There are 2 places to eat on site if you don't cook. There is an exercise/gym room plus a laundry room also on site. There is a small mini-mart in the lobby for some limited foodstuffs, nothing for a full meal. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Wifi worked well normally, but slowed down as families got back in the rooms after 7 pm. A more reasonably stocked market and gas station are about 1 mile downhill from the lodge. A Tesla supercharger bank is on site. Yosemite park boundary is about .25 mile uphill from the lodge and park gates are about 3 miles uphill. We enjoyed our stay here immensely, dining on the patio by the river, going in and out of the park both early and late, marveling at the changes of sunlight from morning to evening in the valley. Staying in the park itself would have been nicer, but MUCH more expensive. We did have a failed electrical outlet in the kitchenette that maintenance was not able to fix during our visit, but that was only a minor problem. I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay near Yosemite. Read less
