We stayed at the Hyatt Centric for one night in July 2024. When we booked, we selected a room with one king bed. On arrival, we parked in garage next door and went in hoping our room would be ready as we were about 2 hours early. Not ready, no fault of hotel, we were early. We checked our luggage and asked where the restaurant and bar was. We were told the restaurant is only open for breakfast, no bar. Issue number 1, that info should be more widely known before booking. The guy at counter was super nice and directed us to Stone Street. Great area just around the corner. He also told us we would receive a text when room was ready, but likely around 3pm as is the standard check-in time. I think it was after 4 when we returned to the hotel to check on room status. As we were talking to the guy at counter (a different guy) he sent the text to my phone. Issue number 2. We were then told our room would have two queen beds, no king. When I told them we booked a king, guy said your room selection is not guaranteed. Issue number 3. Room was very large for NYC hotel and was very clean. Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable and the glass shower door didn't close all the way, so each shower flooded the bathroom floor. Which we cleaned each time with towels. Luckily they provide quite a few towels in the room. Issues number 4 and 5. We won't consider this hotel again. Read less

Way too much for average things. A kitchen counter with a sink, And dishwasher but no utensils or dishes. A table that belongs in a business office, not a living room, No microwave. A beautiful bathroom ( Was probably the best feature of the whole suite ) comfortable bed. Automatic blinds… but You can’t control them individually, either all of… Read more

A beautiful bathroom ( Was probably the best feature of the whole suite ) comfortable bed. Automatic blinds… but You can’t control them individually, either all of them will lower or raise all of them. Overall, for the price….eh not my cup of tea. I have paid less for Hotel rooms and AirB&B that looks nicer, Had more utilities to it, Way more comfortable, pleasant all the eyes. If you are here on business then it should be Perfect… but Not really for leisure or if you’re looking for a getaway Read less

Upon entering our upgraded room, we discovered a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and found that the automatic blackout blinds were not functioning properly. We reported these issues to the front desk on our way out of the hotel to have dinner with our son. Later that evening, after dinner, we returned to find that my suitcase had been moved and my purse was missing, which we later discovered had been stolen. Throughout our stay, we encountered rude behavior from several employees, although one individual, Mildred, front desk, did express sympathy and concern. Additionally, there was an incident where simply turning on the faucet in the separate living room caused it to detach and spray water. We informed the front desk about this issue when we checked out, as we were concerned about the safety of future guests. And not to mention the floor was buckled near the enter door and the security lock protection plate fell off the enter door. In a somewhat humorous yet concerning moment, when we requested two extra blankets, we were informed that they might not be available. While this was unexpected, it highlighted a gap in the availability of basic amenities. Read less
