It is beautiful and packed with amazing wildlife. All the staff were friendly and helpful and made it a holiday to remember. The atmosphere is so relaxed and even though the resort was fairly busy it somehow felt like you were alone on a desert island. The food was all lovely and service great in all restaurants. Loved Haali bar anytime of the day - never missed the magical sunset time but also enjoyed it there at lunchtime or for a late quiet drink. The dolphin cruise was brilliant and we did the dolphin jet ski which is an experience we will never forget. If you want to visit paradise to get away and relax then go to this magical place !!! Well Dhigali, you did not disappoint! A huge thank you to Chris and all of the Dhigali team for their hospitality. From the airport, to reception, buggies, restaurants, spa, rooms and Eurodivers the service was brilliant! The food was plentiful and tasty in all of the restaurants, we loved Capers for choices, Faru for the prawns and steak with sea view, Battuta for chef Idris for the tandoori prawns and seafood laska, Jade for Asian and of course the pizza and cafe. We did the cooking class with Chef Idris, he explained the processes well, was welcoming and friendly and we have a lovely 3 course meal to make at home for our family. Mattey on the buggies, Betty from the dive centre who took me snorkelling, Chakil who let us borrow his umbrella, Riza and many more you have made our holiday worthwhile. Friendly banter, smiles and service was great. The spa ladies worked our tight muscles really well too, important after such a long journey. Coconut milk was sourced for my coffee no trouble, cocktails flowed and we loved the sax, DJ Kesh and sax player too. The vibe was chilled, not too busy, the weather fabulous and beaches so beautiful. We had a beach dinner organised at Faru, snorkelled with turtles and Manta on a trip - amazing! The house reef has a large variety of fish, and some good coral spots too. We saw a turtle and moray eel outside the water villas. Thank you all so much. Read less

We went in October 2024 for 11 nights. We did not have any real desire to go to the Maldives but for practical reasons a holiday in that part of the world worked for us. We went to Sri Lanka for three weeks earlier on this year so that was not an option. I have to say that it was a pleasant surprise. We have never stayed in a resort before and we were a bit skeptical. Dhigali went far beyond our expectations and we were very happy that we went there. We landed in Male and were met by the representative who transferred us over to the sea plane area, which is minutes away by car. She was extremely pleasant. We were lucky that we did not have to wait that long to depart, I think about 30 to 45 minutes. It was very hot in the sea plane before take off (it gets cooler when you are in the air), but we had read other reviews and so we were prepared for this. It took about 45 mins to land in Dhigali. The views were incredible. When we landed there was a welcoming committee and we walked the short distance to the welcome area which was air conditioned. We were offered refreshments and we were lucky that our room was ready so we were taken straight there. If it hadn't been ready there were shower and changing facilities available so we could have refreshed and started to enjoy the pool etc. We booked the most basic accommodation and it was absolutely fantastic. Felt very private, straight onto the beach and a good size. The all-inclusive was excellent value for money. You must book the restaurants in advance. We didn't particularly like the buffet restaurant in the evening so we were delighted that we had read a review advising to book restaurants well in advance. We emailed after we made the hotel booking and booked the restaurants. You couldn't go hungry as the coffee shop and pizza counter were open all day for extra food. The pool bar also had food (which we hadn't realised for a while). You could order what you liked at those three establishments in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner any toke you wanted. The beverages were also excellent value for money and limitless. We were really pleased with the size of the island, we realised after other islands can be tiny and we would have gone stir crazy. The included excursions were great and we paid for para sailing. Snorkeling equipment was included. There is so much sea life not too far out and we even swam with a turtle, which is apparently very lucky. We went kayaking each day which was also included. On the last day we were told that we could use all amenities until our sea plane time which was after 3pm. Our luggage travelled separately, which was a concern but in fact no issues. We travelled without our child and although there was not a lot of children there, it was definitely somewhere our 8 year old would have loved. He wouldn't have used the kids club but he would have wandered around the island ordering pizza or ice cream for himself, playing on the beach, in the pool etc without us worrying about him. All in all a fantastic stay. I would say that it is set up more for the Russian market rather than the European in terms of service style and food choices at the buffet. The staff were superb, although the deputy general manager we found spoke quite abruptly and rudely to staff at times during the breakfast service, which we did not like. The one avoidable issue which really annoyed us was not having suitable implements to eat crab, which we ordered as a supplement. There was no picker, a finger bowl was not sent out automatically and the cracker was too small for the size of the crab. A real disappointment not to be able to eat something that probably was rather delicious. Our only other complaint was the music. We found it far too loud at all the bars. Deafening in fact. Worse still when there was live music for Halloween at the buffet restaurant, they also had music at the pool bar. We were sandwiched between the two at Jasmine with two different genres of music blaring from each side. Would we recommend Dhigali, without a doubt. Read less

A perfect mix of everything, amazing views, relaxing by the beaches or pools, paddle boarding and activities, pizza and bars, evening entertainment, beautiful sea life, stunning walks and lovely restaurants . Staff were also so brilliant and accommodating. Snorkelling - so many amazing areas to snorkel with little sharks, beautiful fish and even mantas. Dolphin cruise - this comes as part of your package if you are premium all inclusive, we got so lucky and saw loads of dolphins that came right up to the boat. Restaurants - Capers is buffet style and caters for everyone, the food in there is great and they provide a range of options that cover breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our favourite restaurant was Battuta which we ended up booking two nights, we also loved the Pizza at the west beach and Jade. Didn’t like Faru as much as the others but that was just preference! The rooms are stunning, well looked after, the staff are very friendly. We stayed in a water villa which was beautiful with steps down to the water. We have been to so many places that have become ‘Americanised’ with the tip culture, but there was absolutely no pressure or feeling we had to tip, we just chose to because the staff were so great and went out of their way to chat to us and look after us. Entertainment - We spent a lot of our time over at the West Beach where there was a sax player and Dj some nights, they also did a move night, and we just generally liked sitting out in the bean bags with our pizzas drinking cocktails and watching the sunset which was to die for. I’m sure there are so many stunning places in the Maldives but we feel we got so lucky to pick a place like this and if you are look for a perfect blend of everything, definitely come here!
