You would think we would get a refund for this but we didn’t - only a credit that had to be spent at their shops. The rooms are in need of remodel -stains on furniture/cracked and moldy tiles etc. The attraction for many at Sandals resorts is the restaurants but at this location it was near impossible to get into the restaurants. They have limited seating and hours. Only a few except reservations which leaves people wondering for hours looking for a restaurant they can get into. Management at the resort is poor. Read less

I wanted to write a review as I was getting very nervous approaching our trip having been reading all of the reviews. We were at Sandals Barbados Honeymoon room with Balcony pool. We were welcomed with cold towels and escorted to the desk. Our room was ready and I had checked us in online before arriving. I strongly advise you to check in prior to arrival. We paid a $400 fee on the room in case of any purchases in advance. Our room was exactly what we required and were very pleased with the room. All of the food was amazing, daily pizzas from Dino's sometimes a wait but so worth it. We tried both Butch's (definitely prefer the chop house to steak and seafood) the experience at Kimono's was amazing and we enjoyed the Chinese (although wait time in there was ridiculous and overshadowed the great food) and Bombay's was a hit. I would recommend getting the app where you can book restaurants but also talk to their virtual assistant Gina who allows you to speak to Sandals staff and they will make bookings on your behalf. The sunbeds are a major issue if you are not an early riser, Butlers do take priority over the loungers and this sometimes did affect our day when some butler level guests did not use their sunbeds all day and when you have spent a lot of money on a vacation I did not expect it to be so difficult. We got engaged on the beach at sunset and I must thank the staff that assisted with such a special moment including our photographer who captured the whole event Mark. Thank you! Overall we had the most amazing vacation at Sandals Barbados, rooms were cleaned daily we were never missed, luggage was slow arriving to our room on the first day but other than that fine! There is a clear mix of staff some are over the top lovely and greet you with such warmth but others including pool bar staff almost see you as an inconvenience its a real mixed bag which is frustrating as some of the staff were absolutely amazing. There are people selling drugs on the beach as mentioned in other reviews but they arent pushy and a simple no thank you was enough to end the conversation, at the end of the day there are no private beaches in Barbados and they aren't doing anything wrong, they were quite polite and wished you on your way. I have had an issue with the payment for our engagement photos where the front desk took an additional payment instead of taking the money out of the pre allocated bolt at the start of the vacation, I have now had the payment taken three times and I am awaiting a response form Sandals as its obviously a lot of money. So my key take aways:- - check in before you arrive -download the sandals app and use this to book your bookable restaurants or speak to a member of staff - Champagne is lovely as are most of the cocktails of the day. - Staff are a mixed bag but didnt affect our holiday. - Take sunbed clips and your own towels in order to secure them early- Sandals you do need to improve on this and not let the butler's dominate the allowance! I don’t know where to begin with this hotel. My advice? Save your precious holiday time and hard-earned money for somewhere else. This review comes from someone who loves holidays, meeting new people, and is by no means overly critical. These are the genuine issues we faced: Room Cleaning: Our room was forgotten multiple days. I called housekeeping repeatedly, morning and evening, and was assured someone was on the way. No one ever came, leaving us with a dirty room and no towels. Room service food was left outside our door for 4 days, disgusting. Sunbeds: Guests with butler service had their towels placed early in the morning, often not showing up for hours, leaving other guests without beds. Worse, I saw butlers moving beds and umbrellas for their clients while other guests were in the sea. Shocking behavior. Getting a beach towel was non existent they don’t have enough for guests, people would be taking them at night to get a chance. Staff Attitude: Many staff members appeared disinterested and treated us like an inconvenience. Getting a drink or table felt like a chore for them. Eye contact was rare, and simple courtesy was lacking. Laundry: We called for laundry service for four days in a row, with repeated promises it would be collected. After six days, we gave up and resorted to washing our clothes with shampoo in the bathtub. Restaurant Bookings: Restaurants that required bookings were nearly impossible to access without butler service. Even when we did manage a booking, it was at 9 PM. For non-reservation restaurants, half the tables sat empty, yet we waited over an hour for a table because spaces were held for potential butler guests. Bar and Drink Options: Requests for premium drinks were often met with “we’re out of stock.” Beer ran out on multiple days—even when the hotel wasn’t full. This is unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. Internet: The Wi-Fi failed daily unless we purchased premium access for $75 USD. Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. This hotel prioritizes butler service guests at the expense of others, creating a frustrating and inequitable environment. For the sake of future visitors, I urge management to address these issues urgently. For 6200 pounds for a basic room this hotel is 100 percent not worth the money Read less

We just arrived to find our room is dirty. I don’t want to touch these FILTHY light switches. For the money we pay, not impressed. Hopefully this isn’t foreshadowing the rest of our trip. This is our third sandal’s (for business purposes) and I’ve yet to be impressed.
