Paid for a birthday suprise and it was halfway done. Fridge was only filled with a few items ONCE the whole trip after asking about 4 times. No entertainment. All in all if we weren’t there with almost 40 people we would have left and looked for another hotel. Read less

As others have said, the hotel is old and outdated and they know it because we heard they are closing the hotel next year for a major renovation. We’ve never stayed at a hotel all-inclusive before and it was nice to have everything included instead of a big bill at checkout. Pros- 1- Right on the beach. We’ve never stayed at a hotel all-inclusive before and it was nice to have everything included instead of a big bill at checkout. Pros- 1- Right on the beach. We had an oceanfront room and the view was spectacular. 2- The bed was the most comfortable we’ve had in decades. We slept so well! 3- Minibar was filled with drinks on day2 - would have been better if it was filled prior to our arrival. 4- With my Marriott status, we had a bottle of Prosecco and 2 fruit and cheese trays upon arrival. 5- Robes and towels are nice and soft. Cons- 1- Buffets are very mediocre, nothing special. 2- The majority of the staff are not very friendly. They seem like they don’t really want to be there. Maybe because it’s all inclusive and most people are not tipping. 3- Pool is not heated but we were able to get in (I think is typical) Read less

Food - The main restaurant and pool food area were both buffet style and we could not fault anything, food was hot, cooked perfectly and plenty of choice. The girls in the coffee shop were brilliant and we always had a good laugh with them. Ice Cream shop - Perfect again, plenty of choice and the girls were brilliant. Staff - Fantastic throughout. Andrew in the restaurant was super friendly and had plenty of banter. Location - Perfect beach front, only a 10 minute easy stroll in St Lawrence which I would suggest. Will definitely return, every aspect of our stay was beyond expectation and a big thanks to all the staff. Read less

The staff are brilliant, lasonta, maradona, Winston, Eliazabeth , Terry & Mark to name a few. The Sandtrap bar is very sociable & and easy place to make new friends down by the beach. Maradona & Lasonta look after you on the beach with drinks & Winston keeps them flowing at night. The buffet food is just that, but a different theme each night. Personally we preferred the two a la carte restaurants, Mahi Mahi at the Sandtrap & everything on offer at Asiagos. What surprised me was that you could visit them multiple times. The person saying about food in cardboard boxes & restaurant cancellations, the rain was biblical that Friday & they did a great job serving up what they could. A hidden gem was the coffee shop for the Panini’s from 11:30 ( read one person complained about no food 10:30-12:30) different each day & just what you needed if you didn’t fancy a full on lunch. Cocktails were great, my wife loves a 10am Pina Colada’s! They couldn’t always provide a Mudslide at 10 but hey, I’ll wait. The rooms are a little dated but then it is having a refurb next year & having seen a sneak peek of a refurbed room they look great. The bed was comfy & the shower was powerful- that’s all I need. The beach is fading away & who knows what will be left when the refurb is done. The sea was a bit wild but 50 yds to left you have the Sandals breakwater which makes that part reasonably safe with large fun waves. The location of Turtle Beach is a bit tucked away but that is a small negative. 7 min walk to ZR bus into town or Oistins. We made friends with many like minded Brits at Turtle Beach & had an excellent holiday. Read less

First of all, don't judge by the previous reviews, they appear to have been submitted by a group who did not fit in well here but this was our second visit and this place had a real Caribbean feel, there felt something really special about it; The most friendliest and fun staff we've met; thanks to Lasonta, Tyson, Maradona, Elizabeth, Winston, and the rest for their most welcoming manner. Yes, the place is tired but we had a sneak preview of the new rooms just before we left which are beautiful; the hotel is to be refurbished next year and we will be first back You really feel loved here. Met great guests who all felt the same One scary thing was that the rising oceans has reduced part of the beach and will continue to if things don't change and I fear for all Caribbean beaches. Love you Turtle Beach. Will be back for sure, my favourite place! Read less
