This modern resort is split into two hotels and occupies 300 ft of south coast beachfront. It doesn't matter which hotel you stay in, as you are free to use the facilities at both. This means you can enjoy two swimming pools, an oceanfront restaurant and, of course, a selection of complimentary non-motorised water sports along the lovely white sand beach. Coral Mist and Blue Orchids Hotels have the added advantage of being only a 5-minute drive from the shops, bars and restaurants of the lively St Lawrence Gap.

We have just returned back from staying here for 2 weeks, we arrived our conditioning wasn’t working so Tisha went above & beyond to fix unfortunately couldn’t be fixed, so she moved us for our 1st night to a lovely 1 bedroom suite top floor with jacuzzi which really was special as we was celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. We moved to our room next day with air conditioning working. Rooms were cleaned fresh towels every day. You could get beach towels. The staff were great. Booked a car through Reggie
The sea was little rough gorgeous beach. Great location. We had breakfast & lunch a few times nice food & service. Thanks coral mist for our 1st stay in Barbados ☺️

Had a fab 10 days at Coral Mist as a family of 5.Age ranges 67 to 15.We all had the best time.
The staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much for them.
The rooms have everything you need and the views were spectacular.
Yes it's not 5 star, but clean and welcoming and to us that is much better than being in a clinical high end…

Yes it's not 5 star, but clean and welcoming and to us that is much better than being in a clinical high end establishment.
It's an easy walk to the supermarket or garage for essentials and buses are along the road outside all the time to take you around the island.

Having stayed in Barbados many times the Coral Mist & Blue Orchids hotel is one of the best self catering hotel's I have stayed at never failing to deliver. A no thrills hotel and a great base to explore Barbados or simply to relax on a glorious beach.
The hotel is located at the end of an almost private fabulous stretch of beach on the south coast with plenty of amenities close to hand, bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc.
All the rooms are spartan rather than glitzy being meticulously cleaned every day & have very comfortable beds, the kitchens/kitchenettes have large fridges to stock up if need be.
A good restaurant over looking the beach offers meals & drinks through out the day.
The hotel staff here are excellent, always very attentive & friendly and go the extra mile, nothing is to much bother.

We have just returned from two weeks at this hotel. It just goes to show how different people have different experiences/ opinions. This is a fabulous hotel and we had none of the problems reported below. The staff were great, friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. Even when booking us a taxi, the receptionist stayed with us until it arrived and then questioned the driver on who had sent them and where they were taking us before we got in. Fabulous location right on the beach, plenty of restaurants in walking distance, rooms are comfortable, yes it is dated but at this price point no worse than other hotels we have used. Our only complaints, the prices at the bar / restaurant. Far higher than the surrounding area and therefore we only used it once. Apparently this is privately run and therefore not controlled by the hotel. The other is the mattresses on the sunbeds, they definitely need a clean and or replacement.
We will certainly return.

Solo female traveler @ Coral Mist hotel is Paradise 😊

When I arrived I was tired and dissatisfied with the dated room.

The hotel sits on a beautiful bay, almost like a private beach with beds and parasols for free. From this beach (Worthing) you can watch the sunrise and sunset which were stunning in itself. The hotel is dated but it’s clean with everything you need.
The most amazing friendly caring staff, will help you with anything they can. Bar/restaurant I used often, as a solo traveller I didn’t wander far for the first week.the food was good and I had the breakfast platter every morning (delicious ) This kept me going till evening meal time.
I was happy to stay in Paradise/
Although you are in a perfect location to explore. Starbucks across the road, Champers restaurant next door(must visit)
St Lawrence gap, 15 min walk or jump on the ZR mini bus/ and defo visit Oistins on Friday night.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially a solo traveler you will be looked after and taken care of from start to finish. The beach is wonderful and also the use of 2 swimming pools.
Coral mist/ Blue Orchid keep up the good work.I can not wait to go back. If you are looking for luxury accommodation this place is not for you, but if you can look past the old and dated rooms, which you are rarely in, you will be more than happy with this choice.
Tabi, Darrin, Gerry, all the restaurant staff, thanking for hosting me and putting up with me lol, miss you all so much already 😊
