Service was unfriendly and slow. Was shocked at the lack of enthusiasm for their jobs. Worst place I’ve stayed on the island. Don’t stay here. Go next door to the Radisson Aquatica which is smaller, less expensive but has friendly staff and a calm bay ocean you can actually enjoy. Will never stay in a Hilton again, anywhere.

The whole place just felt tired. I get that older hotels have quirks and outdated features and that’s fine but this place felt uncared for and it needed a good clean. The shower in our room was particularly grim. The shower screen was thick with limescale and the shower head was so gunked up with limescale it resulted in a trickle of water making it through. Basic housekeeping done badly or not at all. Horrible.
The breakfast was a token effort too.
Never again, not even for a stopover.

Read the fine print when making a reservation.

Didn’t realize when making my reservation in mid October for a December 8 check in that paying in advance meant that you can’t get that money back if you cancel, which I did today.
Hotel and the Hilton reservation people insisted that I pay the $2,055.09 and that’s it!! In my opinion, an outrageous money grab.

I have been a Hilton Honors member for decades, but will never stay at one of their hotels again. I will also encourage my business associates not to stay at their hotels as well.

Location is outstanding on pebble beach and Charles fort - incredibly beautiful
Only suggestion would be to make this hotel all inclusive as food can be expensive!

Pros: Fantastic location on a point, with beautiful extensive beaches. Close to Bridgetown. Loved the sunset yoga class (included) on the rampart at the Charles Fort. Nice grounds. Barbados Blue dive and snorkel centra is across the parking lot which I highly recommend. The gym looked good (but didn’t try it out). Room was spacious and comfortable and had a good view of Carlisle Bay (I think most if not all of the rooms have good views). Room was generally clean (some mold in the grout in the bathroom). Staff generally friendly (though not 100%) . It was a 25 minute walk into town which was a plus for us. They have live music in the bar nightly.
Cons: Service was uneven. Often long waits for service/ food for beachside bar/ restaurant. Food was okay to good. Not great. If you are looking for superb service - someone coming to offer you drinks on the beach this isn’t the place. Nice pools but the upper pool didn’t have any loungers around it and was closed for part of our stay. We were on the second floor. So wanted to walk up and down the staircase. It was grungy so I decided just to take the elevators all the time. We had Hilton Honours and the resort did not seem close to full but they wouldn’t budge on a late checkout (checkout is 11 and we wanted a late checkout for 12:30). The breakfast buffet was about $34 US which was expensive (and didn’t seem worth from my peek at it). The alternative was their coffee shop. coffee was good, but they could have used some more breakfast items (there was yogurt in a cup but it was sold out most of the time I arrived). Alternative restaurants are a short cab away. There are also some beach cafes walking distance.
