Having just left the resort 4 days ago, I am compelled to write a well deserved review for this amazing all inclusive adults only beach resort. Located on beautiful Long Bay in the northeast part of Antigua, the beach is picturesque and sparkling with its turquoise water and bookended by cliffs and hillsides. This being low season, we found the room rates to be very reasonable (even having to get two rooms for the 3 of us). It was so user-friendly to book online. When we arrived at the resort (no free transfer from the airport), we were served a ice cold towel and a refreshing drink in the reception room. Having booked beachfront rooms, we were delighted to be upgraded to waterfront rooms where the private patio opened up to the Atlantic Ocean and literally steps away from the beach, pools, and main areas of the resort. Immediately you can see how clean and well maintained the facilities and landscaping are. The beauty of Pineapple Beach Club is the perfect size of it, not too expansive but big enough to contain all the amenities needed and cozy enough to feel laid back and personable. The mgmt team and employees complete the aesthetic and welcoming atmosphere! The ability to visit the next door sister resort, Verandah, was so fun as a change of pace and beach, but we all agreed Pineapple was better. Here are my highlights: (A) Room: clean, spacious, and comfortable beds. We loved walking into our room to the refreshing air conditioning. Hot water plentiful in the shower. One room had a broken latch and maintenance fixed it less than 1 hour after we reported it. (B) Food: during our 6 days, we ate a variety of buffet and a la carte dinners. Happy to report that the food is of a high quality, fresh, creative, and tasty. We especially liked the Pineapple Grill and the Topaz alacarte. We never grew tired of the bfast buffet (Barrymore makes delicious omelettes!). The wait staff is so attentive, friendly, and put in the extra effort to bring drinks from the nearby bar. We regretted eating at the Caribbean casual lunch at the Outhouse on our last day bc we were in a rush, bc that place has so much character and the food hit the spot. We especially must mention the Cafe 1706 coffee bar (where we eagerly ordered little munchies and fruit cups as well as aromatic cold and hot drinks made by Annetta!) and the Pelican grill (where we loved the ability to grab snacks even up to 11 pm and Sherry-Anne makes a delicious burger). The 4th of July street party also had wonderful food, like mussels and shrimp! (C) Drinks - kudos to the entire bar staff for their ability and patience to make us delicious drinks! (D) Entertainment - the guest services puts on a great entertainment like karaoke, live performances, etc. My kids and I especially enjoyed playing pool and wall scrabble and we took part in a couple of the fun daytime activities (bead making and aloe vera) (E) Fitness center / gift shop - this is hands down one of the best workout centers I’ve seen in hotels and resorts. Clean and good equipment and air conditioned and tennis courts are well maintained. Gift shop was really well stocked and they’ll mail your postcards for you. (F) Excursions - plenty of fun activities on the island, all at the fingertips of Marvin and his team who are at the beach until 1 pm each day. Marvin booked us a combo ziplining and stingray city excursion that blew our minds. We then booked a 5-hr land tour with Marvin and he had Jerry take us on an educational and eye opening trip around various beaches, sights, and local roti restaurant. Couple things to critique: the Chef Pietro alacarte Italian dinner was a bit of a disappointment bc there were only a few truly Italian dishes; guest services desk should remain open for a couple more hours so that immediately upon check in later arriving guests can book restaurants; beach towels were a bit hard to come by and not restocked during room cleaning. These are nitpicks because Pineapple BC really was the MVP of our Antigua trip. Read less

Honestly, this resort needs a makeover. The rooms are dated with a lack of in room amenities. When you arrive you have to sit in a reception area and wait for someone to come check you in. Then they make you wait for a golf cart to take you to your room. I recommend as soon as you get your room, go make reservations for dinner. On property, the pineapple grill is the best. But what they won’t tell you is that you can make dinner reservations for their sister resort The Veranda. The staff was very rude and would not help one bit. All they wanted was for you to tell them exactly what you wanted and then go away. They had no suggestions and were absolutely atrocious. This was true throughout most of the island. I would recommend going to another island all together. Read less

Quiet resort on a beautiful soft, sandy beach. Loved the water activities and pools. The meals were good with several options. Overall a great experience!

We went in April 2024 for 9 nights and loved it. Yes it's quirky and not as posh as some places but it's clean, friendly, with great staff and everything is close to hand. It has a homely feel. We went in April 2024 for 9 nights and loved it. Yes it's quirky and not as posh as some places but it's clean, friendly, with great staff and everything is close to hand. It has a homely feel. We did go to the posher sister hotel across the road (you can get a day pass and we walked but you can get a golf cart). It is more upmarket but a bit stuffy with it so we were glad we were staying at the Pineapple. We had a garden room just off the beach which was a great location. The room was quite basic but spacious with lots of storage - very old colonial with a big ceiling fan which we loved and it also had air conditioning (so easy to use compared with other places we have been to). The bed was comfy and we slept well. Bathroom was great with a huge walk in shower and plenty of hot water. We spent so little time in there we didn't need lots of extras. However it would benefit from a bit of furniture upgrade and a slight criticism is that our clothes in the wardrobe felt slightly damp but that could have been the general humidity. The food in the main Topaz buffet restaurant was very good, plentiful with lots of choice. We ate at the Pineapple Grill twice which was excellent both for food and service and Chef Pietro's once. Chef Pietro's was a real let down and while the service was good the food wasn't authentic but more like pub style 'ping and ding' Italian. We had decided not to pay the extra $80 for the Orchids steakhouse and from comments from other guests were glad as the feeling was it wasn't worth it. Cafe 1761 was great as it was open all day and well into the evening and we'd often go for cups of tea and the odd snack. The beach was lovely with plenty of sunbeds but could do with a few more shaded areas as it got very hot in the afternoons. Also often there was a shortage of beach towels perhaps down to guests taking more than one. The entertainment team were very enthusiastic and the list of activities was on the board daily but this repeated after a week. Up to you if you wanted to join in - not that many takers when we were there. The sports quiz was slanted towards the Americans. The tour desk team were helpful and very organised. Trips left on time and if you were late you missed it. We did a few and can recommend Shirley Heights, Nelson's Dockyard and swimming with stingrays (all of which we would do again). Not much in St John's worth seeing. The market could be good if the stallholders didn't harass you so much. We would happily go back Read less

It’s honestly a VERY tired resort and our room has doors that don’t work properly or are broken. Staff are lovely, but drinks and food are also very ‘tired’. Nice view and beach, but for the money and starting it’s in SERIOUS need of renovation. Rooms are definitely lacking in small touches that could make this place great.
