The hotel description on Tripadvisor is spot on. This is a unique historic hotel in a fantastic location on the quiet end of Ocean Boulevard. The common areas including the piano bar and hallways full of vintage Rolling Stones and Beatles photos are fantastic. We loved the nightly live music. The staff including Driss, Fritzner and Esme are extremely welcoming and helpful. The dog-friendly policy makes for a fun atmosphere including the two host dogs, Betsy and Rosa. The rooms are a bit small by US standards and there is some quirkiness getting to one of the two hotel wings (you have to go up to third floor, cross over to the other wing and then back down to second floor if that’s where your room is) . Overall a great stay. We would love to go back. Read less

An oasis of peace, creativity, calm and luxury always awaits at the fabulous Betsy. Driss and Fritz at the front desk went the extra mile to accommodate us and overall the staff was exemplary. Try the morning rooftop yoga, listen to nightly piano music and enjoy the sparkling pool.

I was originally booked into a different hotel and having searched for alternatives settled on The Betsy. From the moment I walked in to explain my predicament, to being shown room options and facilities, to checking in, I knew I had found my Miami home! This place is perfection. Amazing staff (shout out to Esme & Driss on reception and Joanny in the restaurant) who go above and beyond for guests. Everyone is professional but so welcoming. The rooms are a good size, I booked a room with a balcony but there are plenty of outdoor areas to chill in too. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms generous and good. It’s just such a relaxing space. It’s also perfectly situated at the quiet end of Ocean Drive just steps from the beach. Plenty of in house food choices but also close to a number of great eateries. The bar area is great, piano music every night and a chilled out vibe perfect to relax into. I’m going to make this trip an annual one and The Betsy will be where I stay. Read less

Great hotel for South Beach. I would 100% return and am referring to my friends. Great location and access to the beach. Every staff member was friendly and cared about your experience. The rooftop pool was also a nice touch. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but the French toast was excellent and they accommodated my wife's gluten allergy.

The service at the Betsy was outstanding. Especially Fritz. He handled our luggage. He stored it as our room was ready. He also took the liberty of walking us up to the pool as it was rather complicated- two elevators and two buildings. He was very gracious and kind. Highly recommend the Betsy. The location was perfect too.
