At Disney’s All-Star Resorts, larger-than-life sports, music and movie icons surround the rooms as Disney's quality and unique styling is everywhere you look. All three hotels are situated close to the Theme Parks, providing a holiday home for rest and relaxation right in the heart of the action. The stage is set at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, as massive figures from your favourite Disney movies take a starring role— from the dotted pups of 101 Dalmations to the playful toys of Andy’s Room. The expansive main pool is inspired by Disney's Fantasia, but if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing - the hockey rink styled pool inspired by The Mighty Ducks film series might be your thing. And the theme continues in the food court as you find yourself in what resembles a grand movie theatre lobby with endless choices to curb your hunger. If being surrounded by Disney movies isn't enough, enjoy watching these films under the stars at night along with campfire activities for all the family to enjoy - a magical way to end the day.

Short but great stay

The rooms are redone and offer lots of storage space. We were only 2 people in a 2 bed room. If you are only using one bed, the second converts to a sitting area with table and chairs. The bus service was efficient. The staff were friendly. The site is expensive but pretty to walk through. It's a great, economical choice inside Disney.
Kind and honest staffs

I spent 10 nights at All Star Movies and I must say it is great for the kids. The little touches like the family names across the TV to welcome you, the rooms are small but pleasant. The only thing the kids missed was entertainment nights as in dancing and singing. The pool is open late and is always manned and clean. The food is okay but quite repetitive. We booked and paid for day passes with British Airways but due to having to move the date back due to family illness we lost those tickets as they're non refundable and we spent days trying to recover the cost but to no avail so we lost a lot of money that we had to spend again once there to visit the parks. It spoilt the holiday really as we had booked the best tickets for the parks and private hire cars to travel to them in but lost the lot. We had a great time at Allegator world, Magical Kingdom, Universal Studios and Animal Kingdom. There is so much walking so comfy trainers are needed and plenty of water but they do have little water fountains here and there. We had a great time although I found that they could of been more helpful with our park tickets.

This was my first time staying at a Disney Resort Hotel and my first time at Disney World in 20 years. With the guidance of a travel agent, we ended up staying at the All-Star Movies Resort. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience.
The room itself was well updated and featured the amenities you would expect out of a hotel room (hair dryer, fridge, coffee maker, etc.). The room was clean and had a modern feel to it. The major knock on the room was the overall lack of space. Our room had a desk area that folded down into the second bed. With both beds out in the room, there was very little space for people to move, which made getting ready in the mornings a bit challenging. We also had a large double stroller, which had to be fully collapsed to get it into the bedroom.
Noise wasn't much of an issue, or at least any more than a normal hotel. You could hear the occasional door slam or voices, but it didn't prevent us from sleeping.
The resort has a number of amenities. We swam at the large pool our first night there. It offered free lifejackets for children to use and was very kid friendly (only 5 ft at deepest point). That said, the water was very warm, so it wasn't much of a place to "cool off". There were Recreations Cast Members there while we were swimming and they had headphones they were handing out to patrons to join them for a dance party on the pool deck.
The food court at the resort was probably one of the more disappointing aspects for me. The selection was pretty varied, but the overall quality of the food left something to be desired. We were on the Disney Dining Plan and I felt like we were better off using our credits in locations other than this. That said, it was nice having access to the refillable beverage cups during our trip.
We utilized the bus transportation to and from the parks, as well as to Disney Springs. Overall, the buses arrived in a timely manner and weren't super crowded, except at park closing. Locations were well marked and got you to and from the parks quickly, with no additional stops.
Overall, we primarily spent our time at the parks and used our room mainly to sleep. This was more than adequate for that purpose. If I planned on spending more time at our room, I would probably consider splurging a little more for something slightly nicer, but I wouldn't complain about having to stay here again.

We have been visiting Disney for almost 25 years. We have stayed at Deluxe, Moderate, and Value resorts. Being empty nesters, my wife went on our second Disney trip this year and decided to try out All Star Movies. We were blown away. We have never stayed at one of the All Stars. Every employee there was filled with that wonderful Disney spirit and made our trip truly magical. Do not pass on the All Star Movie resort. Pay the little extra and book a preferred room. The preferred rooms are just a few steps away from the pool, food court, and transportation. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus and always got a seat. The food court was also very good and we ate twice for breakfast and twice for dinner. Still thinking about those Mickey waffles. The rooms are perfect for 2 or 3 but will be a tight squeeze for 4. Not just our favorite Value resort, this is our favorite resort PERIOD. Do yourself a favor and check this resort out.
