We stayed here for our 40th anniversary. I was surprised at the airport that they didn’t have an indoor sandals area like they do in Saint Lucia Sandals , the waiting area was outside in the summer heat and no one greeted us, we had to hunt down the Sandals area. We were taken to the resort and were nicely greeted by the club sandals staff. The layout of the resort is quite confusing and they don’t have paper maps for some reason, they tell you to use the app. Which is not up to date. There was staff to direct those of us scratching our heads wondering where to go. We probably spent more time in Royal sandals which is literally next door and connected to the resort. I was in the a royal section and didn’t realize it until the tour offered the next morning. The resort is clean and the grounds are clean. The rooms is spacious , we had an ocean front . The humidity is a problem and several times our hotel floor was wet because we didn’t understand the concept of not leaving the slider open too long to hear the ocean. There seemed to be a serious towel shortage for the pools. Guests would take a stack to be sure they didn’t run out because they had plenty of dirty ones, but always seemed behind on clean pool towels. The staff was a mixed bag. Not what I expected for the Sandals reputation. Some staff was friendly and helpful. The bar staff was not friendly and seemed more annoyed. I was disappointed with the customer service overall. On a positive note, The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Beautiful views. The food was good. The places with quick food service were just ok. The beach was nice, but not private so you do get approached by people selling things while you are trying to relax. The entertainment was a bit cheesy, but fun. Some good singers . The bowling alley only had one lane opened and we got to bowl a game in the 30 minute time we had. The bar in the bowling alley was understaffed and difficult to get a drink. The pools were nice. I enjoyed the rooftop pool, great views and peaceful, the female bartender was not friendly and annoyed however. Fun places to get sweets and delicious steak at Chops. The Asia restaurant was good but the air conditioner was not working so very hot experience. We enjoyed our stay but expected more. Read less

The worst of our experience was when we got home, and outfits were missing from the luggage. I know it happened at the resorts because when the luggage was weighed at the Barbados airport it was less than when we left the state. We just didn't give much thought to it then. We emailed the Guest Service Manager, and the General Manager. The Guest Service Manager said there was no evidence that an employee took it at the resort, and the General Manager never replied. It was stated that nothing could be done. The luggage was never inspected by TSA. I know that the items were taken from the luggage from the time it was sat outside of the door for transport to the lobby. We had been looking forward to the vacation for a long time. But it ended in disappointment. Two of the outfits were from my husband's uncle who had passed and were dear to his memory. Read less

The staff was excellent during the hurricane...but once that passed service wasn't the best. The food was ok not great but good. There were issues with bars and public bathrooms were not kept as clean as they could have been. The elevators were beat up missing tiles and such. Some restaurants were closed on certain days. With the amount of money you spend for this resort we felt that it didn't live up to the dollar value. You are spending a lot of money and not getting a quality vacation. Read less

First of all I have to say the resort and staff were both great for the most part. The issue we had was my husband was injured on a resort scuba diving trip and had to stay 6 extra nights due to him not being able to fly. We were offered a “distress” rate that only totaled $600 less than out original 6 days. We didn’t even get to enjoy the… Read more

The pool bar ran out of beer and water and the staff offered no explanation. Nothing like we sent to get some more. We’ll have some more in a few minutes just we are out, the pool was very dirty stuff floating on top of the water at all times the room cleaning service when you got it was very poor trash cans overflowing couldn’t get toilet paper. The actual room service for food was very good. Only a few of the restaurants are you able to make reservations? The other ones you would have an hour to two hour wait every evening to eat. every evening they had a show at the main stage at after the main stage no more entertainment for the night place was dead after dark. Being a club level, we would go to the club and complain about the service. It was always told we would have to talk to the beverage manager or the housekeeping manager. They just passed the Buck. When you went to the bar to get a drink, the bartenders would pretend like they didn’t see you and you would stand there waiting to be waited on. this was my first sandals visit having stayed at other all inclusive resorts. It will probably be my last sandals visit. Read less
