I had no real complaints about this hotel, the room was not huge but functional and clean. The Hot Pool was good after a long day walking. We din not use the restaurant even for breakfast as a little expensive but did have drinks in the bar and the staff were really good. Aircon didn't seem to be working but it was no problem at the time of year… Read more

My wife and I stayed for a few nights as a part of our Titian travel, Rockies to Vancouver tour. The hotel offers a charming and romantic oldy worldy feel about it. The rooms are very clean as is all the hotel. The staff were very friendly and breakfasts amazing. The hotel is about a 10min walk from the centre of town but the hotel does provide complimentary ‘roam bus passes’ for those who don’t or can’t walk that far. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to one day visit again. Read less

We recently stayed at this hotel We were disappointed. The hotel was very busy due to the fire in Jasper The hotel staff were very nonchalant about their guests The room we had was dark small and a view of a fire escape We were booked in for 4 nights but we had to change rooms. We asked numerous times to keep the room rather than pack up and change as we had an early start that day We packed at 7.00am went to reception to check out and check in. They then gave us the same room we just left ☹️ The front desk girl at the restaurant was rude and unhelpful I am sure there are much better hotels in Banff Read less

Stayed for 3 nights, restaurant was good, room was decent size. No air con in the room which was an issue for August as having the windows open day & night wasn’t enough, the room was just too hot! Walking distance (10 mins) to the main area but plenty of restaurant options around. Free parking and overall nice stay.

The hotel is old n really needs a refurb. The rooms are clean, but drawers are falling to pieces. No aircon in the rooms. We were lucky as they loaned us one of the six mobile units that they have on offer in the hotel, it worked, but was very noisy. We were lucky as they loaned us one of the six mobile units that they have on offer in the hotel, it worked, but was very noisy. The bedding didn’t fit very well either as my sheet fell off every night. The pool n sauna were not in use for most of the 6 days we were there which was quite disappointing as we had planned on spending a day chilling out around it. They did offer us an alternative in their sister hotel the Fox which was about a five minute walk away and which was being used by their residents when we went. My cousin booked an accessible room, which you couldn’t navigate either a walker or wheelchair around the beds. They also have a residents bar ran by a third party who were very awkward with us when we wanted to sit in the sun on the patio, they refused to allow us to move tables around and wanted us to sit on a table for 3 and one for 4 across the patio even though they charge an extra 18% for serving more than 6. The bar also shuts at 10 and you can’t get food past 9.30. When had travelled on the rocky mountaineer and arrived late only to be told there was nothing on offer. We tried to order room service which also stopped at 9.30. Shame really as when you walk in to reception it looks quite inviting. Read less
