We recently stayed at the Swan for five nights. We had previously stayed at smaller resorts so we were not sure what to expect. We had a resort view room with king bed and sleeper sofa and the room was very spacious. Bathroom was small but serviceable. We loved the location and being able to easily walk or take a boat to Epcot, the Boardwalk resort shops and restaurants and Hollywood Studios. The pool area is top notch. Very relaxing and peaceful and a great escape from the busy parks. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Bus service to the parks and Disney Springs was reliable. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping kept us well stocked with fresh towels and bottles of water and coffee. They did a nice job making sure we had what we needed. What a disappointment. We are currently at this hotel. We paid over $500 a night as we upgraded to the “baby suite” to have a bit more space. When we checked in we asked if the sofa bed could be made up for the kiddos and we were assured it would be done. Well, after getting back from the parks exhausted, we discovered it hadn’t been done. We figured it wasn’t a big deal, we’d do it ourselves. Well, there were also no pillows or blankets for the bed. So we had to call and wait for housekeeping to bring those. It took well over 30 minutes which isn’t a huge amount of time, unless you’re counting in exhausted kid minutes. We finally got everyone settled and in bed. And when we went to adjust the a/c so it wasn’t freezing, we couldn’t. There are two vents in our room and only one was controllable. The other was blasting freezing air over our kids bed. Because we were so exhausted (it was after 11pm and we had been up since 5am as it was our travel day) we just gave them our blanket and went to sleep rather than wait again for someone to come fix it. In the morning we went to grab our breakfast items we had packed and were disappointed to see the fridge had broken. It was cold when we put our items in it. However it was now very warm as it was sitting in the heat it generates with the motor running. All of our fresh snacks, breakfast, the fresh juice we bought from the hotel as well as our leftovers from our very expensive dinner the night before (a splurge) were all hot and spoiled. I contacted the front desk and reported the issues. They said someone would be up to fix them. We got back in the evening and the fridge was cold (with all of the spoiled food still in it) and the a/c was off and the room was 80* I tried turning on the air and now the one vent will not turn on. I contacted the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. She was less than concerned with the experience thus far and said “air conditioning isn’t my area of expertise but I can send someone up to look at it again”. I explained that we have a dinner reservation and asked when they could come. She said she can’t tell me how long it will be. Then I said I was worried the air would be turned on again and we wouldn’t be able to turn it off at bedtime. She said “would you like an extra blanket in case that happens” I explained that I didn’t want a blanket and that what I wanted was an air conditioner that I can actually control. She said she’d send someone up and that was tthat. So now we sit her waiting. The location is great here but beyond that it’s not worth being uncomfortable in the room after a long day. And it’s especially not worth having all the food I purchased and packed go to waste. Very disappointed. Read less

To cut it short we tried to pay for the rest of our 5 night stay after paying a deposit before travelling. The hotel would not except our card payment (which was a hsbc global card which was accepted everywhere including disney). So we were allowed to stay 1 night because our deposit covered that but we're told we would have to go and seek alternative accommodation for the last 4 nights. Jerrilyn on front desk and Mo the manager were totally unhelpful and didn't care less. So at 7pm at night and with my wife crying her eyes out we had to go and look for alternative accommodation. We called in nearest disney hotel(which was Yacht club) and after a bit of communication a very kind manager called Jack had a look on disney sites for us and got us 4 nights on disney port orleans which by the way took card payment no problem. Having stayed the 1 night in Swan we checked out next morning and saw manager Mo who showed no compassion at all and his last words were a sarcastic have a nice day. Thank God for disney and shame on Swan for customer service. Lost 2 days and very stressful. Read less

Mixed experience, but more good than not. I've stayed at this hotel many times in the past 20 years, but this was my first visit in some time. The Swan maintains many features I love from prior visits: beautiful grounds and generally upscale feel. However, there were some things my family and I observed which reveals a bit of a drop off in attention...surprisingly so. One such disappointment is the heavy smell of mold in a well-trafficked public area - on an indoor path near the central swan fountain. Quite surprised to see this go unnoticed by management. Another sign of a drop-off in care is that I noticed that staff essentially closes the lobby bathrooms overnight by placing a cleaning cart I front of the doors with the sign that it is closed for cleaning. This is the sort of unwelcoming, corner-cutting practice one might see in a smaller chain hotel, and not in an upscale property in a resort area. And then there is the resort fee. I am not complaining about the fee itself, as Westin is transparent about it at booking, and it is not an uncommon feature in some resort areas. But, one of the prime features of the fee is use of the swan boats. However, it is basically impossible to use the boats if staying one night only....they close at 5p amd open at 11a,....which means one would have to try to borrow a boat immediately upon check in (weather permitting). That fee plus the parking fee means that you are already over $80 in the hole before room expenses. Yet another complaint is that I did not receive any solicitation or survey to provide feedback about my stay. Perhaps they were afraid to ask! Despite those couple complaints, I still do love the grounds, access to the Boardwalk area, parks, and Disney transportation, and I will probably visit again someday. Read less

This is our 11th visit to Disneyworld and have always stayed on-site. Having stayed at Dolphin before we thought we would give The Swan a try. We stayed for 7 nights. All in all there are many positives however enough negatives to make me think again about Swan/Dolphin. Let’s start with the positives. ✅ it’s a fantastic location with Epcot and Hollywood Studios walkable along with boat options ✅ we had super help when checking in as we had just lost our toiletry bag on the travel over to the hotel and we was reassured and given a big bag of everything we needed. ✅ The pool area is very good. A very large main pool and several smaller quieter pools ✅ The chat function on the app usually worked well when you needed something from housekeeping, although it shouldn’t be needed as much as it was ✅ security resolve an issue with our ‘neighbour’ playing their TV all night, they sent up security who promptly resolved this as 4am. Negatives 👎 housekeeping was all over the place, one day we received it about 6.30pm, the next day they came at 8am, when we asked them to come back a little later we came back at 1am to find the room hadn’t been serviced at all. We had no clean towels and had to make a request on the app the next day. Generally it felt they didn’t have enough housekeeping members of staff, additionally some days we would get water others we wouldn’t. 👎 noise. We wasn’t told there would be hotel construction when we booked the hotel, additionally we paid an extra $400 at check in to get a room with a balcony only to spend the first few days listening to hammering. Having said that noise distribution from this was minimal. 👎 at midnight one night there was a sudden loud noise outside the balcony which woke us up, it turned out it was a maintenance member of staff who was jet washing the hotel with a loud generator. It was genuinely bewildering. I was frustrated but having contacted the chat, they got security to check it out and it was stopped after about 20-25 mins. I just don’t understand how it would have happened. 👎 it’s lovely to get aircon when you enter the hotel but I don’t think I’ve ever been in a colder hotel. 👎 resort fee…. We knew about it but the price $50 a night is scandalous for the perks you get, coming from the uk where resort fees arent really a thing, we have however stayed at other Us hotel where the amenities have been good value such as redemption against cost of food/breakfast. A swan ride which we don’t want and WiFi isn’t good value. Overall we thing we would give up the location for a more Disney feel hotel which doesn’t add on a big resort fee Read less
