Hurricane Milton

Important information for Florida customers following the storm

Updated Friday 11th October 2024 – 12:00

Hurricane Milton has now downgraded to a tropical storm and has moved east over the Atlantic.

The safety and welfare of our customers and staff is always our top priority and following Hurricane Milton, our teams are working hard to assess the impact of the storm on the region.

Both Orlando and Tampa airports will be re-opening and all Virgin Atlantic flights are planning to operate as scheduled.

Our teams on the ground are in contact with hotels and accommodation providers and we are contacting Virgin Atlantic Holidays customers whose holidays may be impacted to discuss their options. We’d like to thank our customers for their patience and ask them to continue to check both the Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Atlantic Holidays website for the latest updates as we continue to work through the impact of Hurricane Milton.

HOTELS & VILLAS

Some areas may still be experiencing power outages, as well as disruptions to cable, phone, internet, and water services due to the storm.  If the hotel you are staying in is not operational, please do contact us and we will do our best to assist you.

The quickest way to contact us is by WhatsApp on +44 7360 544 350 and advise us of your NAME + BOOKING REFERENCE + HOTEL NAME and let us know how we can assist you.

Please be advised that contact levels are high and we are responding as quickly as we can.

RETURN FLIGHTS FROM FLORIDA TO THE UK

We ask that anyone travelling checks the status of their flights on www.virginatlantic.com for the latest information.

We’ve been working hard to rebook our customers onto alternative flights, however due to limited availability, new flights may depart on a different date, may involve travel via a connecting airport, or may depart/arrive at an alternative airport.

Virgin Atlantic will also communicate with customers should there be any changes to flights. Please ensure your contact details are added to your booking through the ‘My Booking’ section of the website, to ensure you can receive updates as needed.

IF YOU ARE DUE TO DEPART THE UK:

Please report to the airport for check-in in good time.  Do also keep an eye on the status of your flights on www.virginatlantic.com for the latest information.

Virgin Atlantic will also communicate with customers should there be any changes to flights. Please ensure your contact details are also added to your Virgin Atlantic booking through the ‘My Booking’ section of the website, to ensure you can receive updates as needed.
