Where is it

Located in the V&A Waterfront, close to The Silo and a short walk to bars, restaurants and shops. Transfer time from Cape Town Airport: 25 minutes.

252 rooms. All with over-sized window, multi-functional furniture, TV and sound bar, WiFi access, picnic table and fridge. Standard Rooms have 1 king-size bed, or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Superior Rooms with mountain views and 1 king-size bed, or twin beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Family Rooms have Table Mountain views and a living area with a separate room for the kids.

Junior Suites with either Table Mountain views or V&A Waterfront views are also available. Suites have 1 king-size bed and sleep maximum 2 adults. 

OUIBar & KTCHN restaurant for all day dining. The rooftop RED ROOF pool bar and grill. Rooftop pool and gym. Complimentary WiFi.

Stayed at the Red for 4 nights recently and was impressed by the energy & engagement of the young, friendly staff - nothing too much trouble, clearly well trained. Hotel itself is very clean and well run, good food ( esp breakfast ) , great roof top bar with pool with very funny staff. As this is the "Red" brand, everything is perhaps a little… Read more

As this is the "Red" brand, everything is perhaps a little to self consciously whacky and fun - there is a pun printed on just about every surface, from shower caps to slippers - can get a little tiring, but they're being on brand - certainly does stand out from other more recent hotel stays. recommended, mainly due to staff! Had a night time drink on the roof very good service and a great view of the mountains. A good place to start the night if you go around sun set before heading out towards the waterfront. They also do food there or snacks as an option, and there is a swimming pool and bar on the rooftop.

always a pleasure staying in this hotel. Location is perfect. I feel safe walking to the V&A. Very helpful staff. Happy they could organise all my taxi rides etc.
