Cape Town has plenty to offer when it comes to sightseeing, and The Commodore is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the V&A waterfront, Table Mountain, and Robben Island with ease. Upgrade to an Executive room to make the most of the views from your balcony on the top floor, or even to a King Suite if you want the extra space for your stay. The nautical theme runs throughout the hotel, from your room right through to the bar and restaurant, where you can enjoy fresh seafood and local wines. As you’re in the heart of the harbour, you don’t have to go far to find more restaurants and bars either, where you can while away sunny evenings in the oldest working harbour in South Africa.

Dark corridors - tired rooms made it an ok hotel. Staff were good in general. Hotel in great location for the waterfront area.

The hotel is very well situated to the V&A waterfront and parking is free, however it is so noisy outside. 4am staff are talking outside or the sound of delivery trucks. We moved rooms to one overlooking the courtyard which was just as bad at 6am with staff setting up for breakfast. Choose your rooms wisely overlooking the road maybe best not rooms at the sides or courtyard if you like a window open
