Restaurant meal.
Service terrible, they forgot about our food for 1.5 h and then brought overcooked food.
I think this once icon have been reduced to mediocrity.
I am sad as I really thought that we booked in a good place. Sadly we were kept hostage for over 2 hours in an empty restaurant.
I hope this can be changed in the future, beautiful…

Absolutely love this property. My third stay, two with groups from the US. The location is spectacular with amazing views. The DJ in the bar one of our nights was so fun and talented! Cocktails are very good and our wine pairing meal was wonderful great on one trip and challenging on another. We did have a few hiccups with some of the rooms with my groups, but they were addressed swiftly. The spa facility is very unique with its cave pools and the massage was good, but not great. I felt a bit of a disconnect with staff on a few interactions which was disappointing. BUT, will not hesitate to return and book for clients whenever they are booking Cape Town.

Great Service but poor main course

The Azure Restaurant for evening dinner. Out waitress Rebecca was absolutely first class. She was very knowledgeable about the South African wines and helped us choose a lovely SA bubbly to go with our oysters. Unfortunately, my husbands main course The King clip was just enough for a six year old! It was tasteless and greasy, pan fried and oily. The dessert of rice pudding was lovely. When Rebecca asked us about the meal, my husband, who never complains, mentioned his tasteless but expensive King clip, no one from the kitchen came out and apologised or offered to reduce the bill! We always like to leave a 10 % in cash to our server. However, we noticed on the bill, that a 12.5% service charge had already been added. Rebecca who looked after us should get this and not the hotel. Customers should not be expected to pay for a service twice! Poor show from The 12 Apostles management. Don't rip off your customers. Finally, we we're waiting for our Ubber, when Pippa the night's manager asked us about our evening. My husband informed her about our experience. She said she would make sure that Rebecca would get the 12.5% service charge and look into the poor fish main course. I don't think we would go there again, since Cape Town has some fantastic restaurants, who offer value for money.

My favourite hotel in SA. The attention to detail. The great view. Excellent staff. Super suites with all the comforts. Love the cinema and pool. Love the treats and leopard bar. So thoughtful and stylish. Brough my small dog and she was treated like a queen.

The highlight of our trip was the amazing picnic with an unbeatable view—truly one of the most breathtaking experiences we’ve had. A special shoutout to Godwin, who went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. His service was exceptional, and we felt valued throughout our stay.
However, we were disappointed by a few things. The hotel decor felt outdated and didn't quite match the luxury vibe we were expecting. Another letdown was the paid private cinema experience. We were expecting something special but ended up just watching Netflix, which felt like a waste, as we could have done that in our room.
Overall, the views and the service were wonderful, but the decor and cinema experience left something to be desired.
