Check in & arrival was slightly lengthy with lots of people milling around in front of the check in staff which added to the confusion. I would suggest that check in procedures need to be reviewed - the waiting areas behind the roped off areas do not work. The hotel is located away from the main part of TST but the nearby underground station makes getting about very easy. The rooftop pool has amazing views over the city. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and the staff were attentive & polite. All in all we were happy with our stay, just a pity that check in is not really up to scratch. Read less

The suite was spacious, offering 52 sqm of living space, which was perfect for our gathering. The large living room provided plenty of room for the kids to play while the parents relaxed comfortably. Check-in was seamless and efficient. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special by upgrading us to a corner suite with breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. It was the perfect setting for a memorable birthday staycation. Housekeeping was prompt and attentive, quickly fulfilling any requests we had, which added to the overall positive experience. The room itself was spotless, well-maintained, and felt luxurious. This was our second stay at the Harbour Grand Kowloon, and we're pleased to say that even amidst the challenges of the pandemic, the hotel continues to uphold its high standards of service and quality. We look forward to returning for more special occasions in the future. Read less

Arrived at 9 am after our flight and were able to check in early by taking a twin bedded room. Probably larger than we had booked with great views and large bathroom. First night, we had a light supper and happy hour wines outside. Then we chose the amazing buffet, getting the senior price! Good value if you like seafood and elaborate desserts. We took the Hung hom ferry across to Central. A harbour tour in itself and efficient and uncrowded way of getting into Central that needs to be better known. Read less

The rooms are a good size, sea view is definitely worth it. This was my second stay and check-in is always unnecessarily long, the staff are all over the place with paperwork and signatures, and listing out conditions of your stay that are just factually incorrect. Know the conditions of your stay because guaranteed the desk staff don't. This is made even worse when large groups show up at the hotel. I booked a bed & breakfast deal, the desk staff member informed me that the breakfast was only for one person when the booking email clearly states "up to 2". When I corrected her she was processing the payment for the room on my credit card. She was then distracted and needed to call a supervisor to verify the correction, which meant she lost track of the credit card transaction. She then took the card and processed another transaction on my card on the adjacent credit card machine, meaning I was billed twice for the room. This was only picked up when I checked my banking app later in the day. This hotel is one of the very few that stick tooth and nail to the new HKSAR "eco-responsibility bill", at the expense of the customer, which means you will now need to pay for basic amenities like water and toiletries. Water is a basic necessity, and they should source different water containers(glass) in order to avoid guests needing to come all the way down to reception, and pay more money for this basic necessity. This can also be considered when toiletries are provided, many other asian country hotels (even budget hotels) offer guests free bio degradable/wooden/bamboo toothbrushes, hair brushes etc. which all comply with the government rules. My dominant memory of this hotel was the small room and the tiny bathroom. Looking at the hotel website, it lists hotel room sizes of 26 m2 and 36 m2. My dominant memory of this hotel was the small room and the tiny bathroom. Looking at the hotel website, it lists hotel room sizes of 26 m2 and 36 m2. Mine certainly wasn't - probably more like 18 m2. There was hardly room to move around the bed from one side of the room to the other, and there was no seating area. Based on other peoples' reviews, it seems as if many of their rooms really are 26 m2 or even 36 m2, so - hopefully that's the type of room you are given if you stay here. On the positive side, while the room was small, there was adequate room at the workdesk, and a good number of power outlets, etc. One definite positive was the breakfast buffet - very good food, great selection, and a beautiful dining area. Also, unlike quite a few recent reviewers, I found the front desk staff to be efficient and helpful. The location is both positive and negative. It's a long way from the main downtown Kowloon area (about 3 km to the Star Ferry), but it is right beside the harbourside walkway which you can follow all the way down to the Star Ferry and the downtown area of Kowloon - a long walk, but an interesting walk. On the plus side, there are some shopping areas within one or two blocks of the hotel. For transit, it's also positive and negative. It's a long way from the metro, which is easy to use even if you don't know Chinese, but not too far from the bus, which is harder to use unless you know Chinese. It's also close to the Hung Hom ferry pier, but as mentioned is 3 km from the Star Ferry pier. So - a mixed bag. I can't comment on price, since this hotel was booked through a tour company. Overall, the experience was positive, especially as this was only a one-night stay. For that this was fine. In the past, I have had longer stays in Hong Kong, and for longer stays a more centrally-located hotel is definitely more convenient. Read less
