This Sheraton is one of the best managed that I have ever stayed it and will continually return to. The hotel is located exactly where you want to be in downtown Montreal (close to many great places). The hotel has been completely renovated with rooms that are modern, well decorated, cozy, and have great views. I was very high up and the view was spectacular. The lobby restaurant was really good - so happy I ate there - Judy is the best. Note, for Bonvoy elite members, the Lounge is really something else on the 37th floor - what an amazing view of the city. Top service, excellent snacks and delicious Hors d’Oeuvre. Peter, one of the hosts was great. But, the best part of all was Michelina, Stacey and Ritchara at the front desk. All 3 provided a sincere warm welcome with a smile, made us feel at home and took great attention to detail with helping us get the best room available - truly thankful. They both exemplified true professionalism in attitude and job execution. Wow! Very impressed. The whole Front Office and Operations Team should be congratulated. Thanks again for a great stay!! Keep up the great work. Read less

Room and hotel were fine. Some of the front desk staff are unbelievable.... unbelievably bad. Some were very impertinent to guests that I can't understand why they would want to work in the hospitality industry. As I got to the check-in I was asked for my Marriott ID. I don't work for Marriott, "what ID?" I asked?. "Your Marriott Member Card", is what she said. I don't have a card, I just booked the member rate. I explained to her that I needed to log in to my account online in order to book that so wasn't that enough? "No, I need to see you card and ID to match" I told her I can show her my account on my mobile but she quickly cut me off and said I need the actual card. Does Marriott even send out cards? She then changed my rate to the "daily rate" which was $62 more a night than what I had booked! Long story short, after numerous phone calls to reservation and speaking to the shift supervisor they wouldn't budge. Skip to the day of check-out and now my rate has gone up another $87 a night. From the initial $377 to then $439 it was now at $526 a night! Different front desk employee, same attitude. The front desk gentleman was trying to convince me that I had changed my reservation to a higher rate. Right, that's what I did. $439 was too low for me so re-booked at a higher rate. Long story short, again, and 45 minutes later I managed to get it back to $439... and get this.... only because the guy was "being very generous". His words. Now I'm sure this not representative of the entire staff, but... these were the ones I dealt with and all were terrible. Take it as you will. Read the rest of the reviews. Read less

The concierges were spot on, excellent restaurant recommendations and very helpful explanations of how to get to places. I absolutely loved Montréal, a city with a very lovely vibe and plenty to do for a few days. Weather was incredible too! Loved it and would definitely stay again when I next visit. Read less

Good menu, warm and hospitable staff, they did a great job. There is a Starbucks off the lobby which was convenient before hitting the road…Rooms were well appointed, bathroom had recently been upgraded, and valet parking was very efficient. Concierge knocked off at 5pm so I didn’t have a chance to quiz their knowledge on local jazz joints but front desk staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely would stay again… Read less

Today is my final day at this hotel, where I’ve been staying since Wednesday on a business trip, bringing my wife and mother along for a vacation. While my stay had been pleasant up until now, an incident that occurred just 30 minutes ago has left me deeply shaken and feeling unsafe. Typically, I work on my laptop on the sixth-floor terrace. However, as I was heading there today, a staff member named David Godin stopped me and demanded to see my room key. I explained that I didn't have it on me but could call my wife, who had the key. Despite this, he began yelling at me, accusing me of not being a guest, and showing a clear bias against me. As an Asian man confronted by a Caucasian staff member, I felt his attitude was both aggressive and discriminatory especially because he looked at me up and down and I was dressed down with indoor slippers but I wanted to feel comfortable while working. What’s truly disturbing is that he continued to approach me angrily, despite my attempts to tell him not to speak to me in that manner. His aggressive demeanor made me fear that he might actually become physically violent. David Godin refused to let me call my wife and continued to curse and yell at me. He even claimed there were no cameras in the area when I mentioned that I would report his behavior. This experience has been deeply humiliating and alarming. I’ve never felt so violated, and the prospect of moving to a different hotel on my last night is now a serious consideration. I must share this experience to ensure that others are aware of this behavior. If this staff member can treat a guest with such disrespect and aggression, it raises serious concerns about his suitability to work in hospitality or just to be around people. I plan to follow up with the hotel management and directors to ensure that this unacceptable behavior is addressed and that future guests are not subjected to similar mistreatment. Before booking a stay at this hotel, I strongly recommend checking whether this individual is working that day. He is also assigned to the pool area, where I would feel very unsafe in his presence. This is exactly why I had to recreate this email so he wouldn’t know who I am. Although I rarely write reviews, I feel compelled to share this experience to alert others. As a frequent traveler and Marriott Bonvoy member, I usually stay at various hotels throughout the year, but this incident has deeply affected my vacation. I’m now uncertain about booking with Sheraton again. The hotel offered to make amends, including providing a suite, but I declined because I don’t want them to misconstrue my intentions or think I’m seeking anything from them. The staff member responsible, David Godin, has unfortunately tainted our experience. It’s disheartening and disappointing. Read less
