Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls

Niagara Falls, Canada

Virgin rating

The hotel

If you’re wanting to get the best up-close experience of Niagara Falls, then that’s exactly what the Marriott on the Falls will give you. When we say close-up, this is the nearest place to stay to those three famed Falls — Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil. If you want to get even closer, you’re in the perfect spot to head out on a boat on the waters. But you don’t have to if you don’t want to, as the hotel has an observation deck, a restaurant where you can eat and admire the views, and rooms where you can open the curtains each morning to the sight of the spectacular rushing waters.

I was on the 18th floor with a fallview room. It was an amazing view. The staff was excellent throughout my stay, from checkin to checkout. I read a lot of reviews and was debating whether this was the right choice or not. some people were negative about the location. Those people were wrong. the location was perfect. The center of action for horseshoe falls is at tablerock. its 4 blocks north and 2 blocks down the hill. you can walk, take the WeGo shuttle (which the hotel gave me free passes) or walk 2 blocks north and take the incline railroad down the hill right to tablerock. At tablerock you can buy packages for all sorts of sights and events. they were reasonably priced. mine included unlimited use of the incline railroad and wego. The Canadian side or the US side? Easy Canadian side is much better but you should still visit the US side. i walked across the rainbow bridge to the us side for one afternoon. it was very nice. more of a park like setting. You will love the location of this hotel. great views, lots of restaurants within walking distance and yet far enough from the crowds that you don't have all the noise and congestion. Read less

Checked in on the afternoon of June 8, 2024. The lobby was clean, uncluttered and welcoming. On the lobby level there is a Starbucks and a terrific hotel bar. There are also stairs leading to a Milestones restaurant on the 2nd floor. Before I continue, I would like to mention that every hotel representative I interacted with was absolutely wonderful. From the Front Desk staff, to the Hotel Bar Staff, to the Milestones restaurant staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Everyone had a positive attitude and seemed genuinely interested in doing whatever they could to make my stay enjoyable. As I checked-in, I was pleasantly surprised to be informed that my reservation had been upgraded to a Premium Room on the 25th floor. The room and bathroom were as clean as I had hoped, and the bed was comfortable. But the main attraction is the view…and what a view!! Standing at the window you get a fantastic overview of the whole of the Niagara Falls. It’s quite breathtaking! The next morning I paid $39.99 (CDN) for the Milestones Breakfast Buffet. Steep price but great breakfast with many, many items to choose from. Special thanks to our server Cinthia, as well as the rest of the waitstaff, who were exceptional. I checked out after breakfast knowing that I’ll happily book a room here again. Read less
