Is it perfect no - but it’s as good as. We came for the weather, the views and to rest up. We had all of that, saw the island and met some incredible people. We had no issues but staff were on hand to ensure that we had a great experience & we did!

This was our first time to visit Antigua and Hawksbill Resort did not disappoint. We booked through the resort which has many benefits of room rate discounts, roundtrip airport transportation, complimentary refill of room fridge, and discounts for messages and romantic sunset dinners. We took advantage of the sunset dinner. We were in the Royal Palm Beach room and they set up the dinner under our pergola. We had an amazing sunset view and then the tiki torches took effect. Dellari took exceptional care of us and the multicourse meal was amazing!! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They are stocked with bottles of complimentary body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and bug spray. Beach towels are also included. It is very neat having a room basically on the beach and the ocean is just steps from your door. The beach at Royal Palm Beach is a little rocky, but the beaches near the Sea Grapes restaurant are very sandy with a gentle slope. There are very gentle waves. There is also an opportunity for snorkeling near the old pier at that beach. My husband actually saw an octopus. Finding beach chairs was never an issue for us. There are also complimentary kayaks and paddle boards. The infinity pool was amazing with such a unique view of the ocean!!! All of the food was exceptional, and the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bartenders were upbeat and friendly, especially David, Dalston, and Arie. They even made special red/white/blue drinks for July 4 for our request. I can't say enough about the staff. They were over the top. We were traveling with a group of 11 and we all felt like they became part of our family and group. They called us by name and genuinely cared. From the time we checked in at the front desk to the time we checked out, we never encountered anyone who did not appear to truly enjoy their job. These people are hard workers and should be commended. Debbie and Denise at the front desk assisted with check in and answered questions along the way as well as helping to set up our romantic sunset dinner. Our nephew had a minor medical emergency late one evening. They were quick to accommodate and get him the items needed. When he did not recover, it was felt that he should go to the ER. Debbie quickly called a taxi driver who lived 3 minutes away and called a doctor for us. He was taken to the ER and received amazing care. He improved quickly but all of the staff continually checked on him throughout the rest of our stay to ensure he was OK. The care he received and compassion we were shown was out of the world. At the end of the Royal Palm Beach there is a local jet ski company that does an excursion. The tour guide desk associate is able to assist with booking. We would also highly recommend the Wadaldi Cat Catamaran. This includes a tour of the island, snorkeling, a stop at a beach, and lunch/drinks on the boat. They actually pick you up from the beach at Hawksbill so it is very convenient. Hawksbill sits on 4 beautiful beaches and the groups are beautiful and spacious. The infinity pool is georgeous. There are many steps and inclines, and it is very spread out so could be challenging for someone with physical deficits. Just a tip: none of the taxi services take credit card, only cash. So take extra cash with you if you want to go anywhere outside the resort. Also, bring lots of tip money because this amazing staff at Hawksbill deserves it. We wish we would have brought more cash with us. We highly recommend Hawksbill Resort. Since July is their off season, it was very relaxed and not crowded. It was not difficult to find beach chairs, tables at dinner, spots in the pool, or using the watersport items. It was easy to book excursions and the reservation desk lady was very helpful at the resort. Read less

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. This review is focusing on the water sports! Want to say a massive shout out to Fenton at water sports. He was very helpful, kind, and funny! Kayaks and Hobie Cat were really fun! He also doubles up as a towel man and DJ for evening entertainment. He is very hard working and a credit to the hotel!!!
