Yes, it's an older, smaller resort but very clean and comfortable with awesome ocean views. The staff is very attentive, friendly and welcoming. My husband and I went to the Breezes as a honeymoon gift 17 years ago. We decided to go back recently to see how those memories withstood - I am really glad we did. We had a bit of a snag with our room preferences, but this was remedied by the next day. The main pool was unavailable due to renovation but reopened within two days. They have two other pools that were open, so it wasn’t really a big deal. My husband and I are no longer young. We are business professionals that have traveled to some of the hospitality capitals. I preface that after reading a previous review insinuating that you must not be well traveled to score this resort well. Okay, on to all the good stuff! Every morning we looked forward to the dining promenade! The breakfast selection and buffet were always delicious. Make your own Belgium waffles, build your own omelette, sausage, bacon, French toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, potatoes, grits, bagels - you name it. The moment you sit at a table in the dining promenade, whether it be breakfast lunch or dinner, you are approached by a friendly attendant. They will get your drinks and care for your table. I found them to always be nice. There wasn’t a time that I passed any employee, that they did not greet me in some way. I utilized their gym every morning and found it to be clean and functional. Two treadmills and a litany of other machines. You can also run their track or play tennis. For lunch you can do the dining promenade or the poolside grill. They are always grilling outside. You can get jerk chicken, hot dogs, crab salad sandwich, conch, fries and a few other things that escape me now. They also have a poolside bar for all your drink needs. You can swim up to the bar and have a seat as well. You can chill there and have your pina colada’s. The bar staff is very friendly. The pool has a great vibe with lots of music and at times a live DJ. Dinner is the same. You can either enjoy the dining promenade, or choose one of their three rotating restaurants. Garden of Eden, Munasans or Martinos. I had a great chicken parm from Martinos and an awesome spring roll/teriyaki chicken from Munasans. My husband enjoyed vegetarian options from both. We didn’t make it to Garden of Eden. We opted for the dining promenade that night. We enjoyed the daily activities as well as the pool tables and ping pong. The night activities were great too! Either karaoke, piano bar, or live music. I really appreciate that the resort is located so close to the public bus stop too! You can save your taxi fare and catch the 10 bus to downtown. The bus stop is right there. It cost 1.50 and is not intimating at all. Every single person, tourist or Bahamian, said hello or good afternoon upon entering. People would even sing on the bus - it’s pretty cool and convenient. You just catch it back to the breezes when you’re done. They’ll be lined up near the straw market. I could probably keep going but I won’t! Thanks for having us back, Breezes! We had a great time. We’ll try not to wait another 17 years to come back. Lastly, just a shout out to Raven! She was one of the most pleasant people I have met. We looked forward to seeing her in the dining promenade - she was always so great. Read less

I am a New Yorker who went to Breezes Bahamas during the last week of May, 2024. I chose your resort largely because I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and your resort assured me that it could accommodate a gluten-free diet. I communicated with the chef ahead of time who made me feel very welcome and that I would be in good hands. I cannot tell you how hostile I found the food servers to be, during my stay. The most egregious were the women in the cafeteria — but many of the waitresses in the restaurants as well — responded to my "Hello!" or "Good Morning/Evening" with zero words and often failed to even smile back at me. And that was before I let them know that I have an arrangement with the chef because I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat gluten. The contempt from them was unimaginable. I need you to know that the emotional roadblock I felt any time I needed to EAT at your resort provoked me, at times, to skip meals, and ultimately I chose to invest in your beach cabanas for the last 4 days of my stay because with that $100.00 daily cost came a Beach Butler and at least I didn't have to interact with your food staff other than at dinner. I have been to the Bahamas before this trip, and I NEVER would have come back if my experience had even resembled the mistreatment I endured at Breezes. Other than the beach, I felt like a prisoner who had to make the best of an awful situation. All I needed was to be responded to with kindness — a smile and an attitude that communicated to me that I was not a burden, but welcome. The staff acted like they'd been trained at a corrections facility. I am also a former restaurateur and I would have wanted to know if this were happening in one of my restaurants. You have a workplace culture problem. I was not singled out in the way I was treated. EVERYONE was treated the same, and I suppose because your resort is on the inexpensive end of the spectrum, your other guests were not well-traveled and didn't have a point of comparison. Read less
