**Sandals Barbados Review** As seasoned travelers and loyal patrons of Sandals Resorts, we had high expectations for our stay at Sandals Barbados. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of the standards we’ve come to expect. Firstly, we were disappointed to find no pool towels available, which was quite inconvenient. The staff seemed disgruntled and unengaged, offering no apologies or acknowledgment during wait times. This was particularly frustrating given the extreme long wait times we faced, compounded by the closure of several restaurants. We waited over 30 mins at one restaurant that had no reservations, only for them to cut the line off stating they were not taking in more and would need to add us in tomorrow. He then called us the next day to cancel, stating they were closing without explanation. We were further disappointed by the lack of basic amenities at outside events, such as water, and the poorly lit walkways at night, which posed a safety concern. Our experience with the entertainment points was also frustrating. After winning points at the pool playing games, we were initially told the points would be added to our room account, only to be informed later that we needed to accumulate more points for them to count. The condition of our room upon arrival was unacceptable. It was dirty, with food on the table and hair in the shower. Despite multiple promises from the staff, it was never serviced, and we ended up cleaning it ourselves. Additionally, food left outside for pickup remained there for several hours, detracting from the resort’s cleanliness and appeal. This was our fourth vacation with Sandals, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst experience we’ve had. We hope that Sandals Barbados can address these issues to meet the high standards typically associated with the Sandals brand. Regards, Megs Read less

Amazing trip!!! Took an island tour with the great Captain Larry service did not disappoint. Drinks were plentiful sky top pool restraint and bar were amazing. We enjoyed all of the food and restaurants. And those signature drinks wow just wow get 3 of each!!!

We booked a 14 day stay in a club swim up room in July . Our check in was chaotic and a long process. Our swim up room was nice but we were unable to use the pool due to a lot of plants floating in it and a very strong smell of paint .we quickly realised every other swim up room in our block was undergoing renovation. The noise and paint fumes were unbearable. Day 3 and a few complaints later we were finally moved however we realised this room also wasn’t all it first appeared. No hot water in bathroom , lights not working , tv working occasionally, mould around air con , damaged items in room , stained robes, bar not restocked ,poor room service and also in restaurants . Reception staff appear very friendly and understanding on the surface but everything takes an eternity and the response is poor to resolve issues . Room service food quality is poor and at times can take an hour to arrive . The service in the restaurants is at times slow with long waits between items coming out . It’s a nice place and the weather is great but quite a lot of staff can appear rude uninterested and unhelpful yet some can’t do enough for you . Every other couple we met and spoke to had also had issues during their stay and it definitely put a dampener on our experience. On the whole is it worth 11k for 14 days simply NOT my advice would be go else where . We would never return to a sandals resort if this is how they treat their customers . Read less

I really wanted to give the resort a 4 star review because of the majority of lovely staff. However after a lost case & terrible service on our check out day they are lucky to have a 3 star!! Beware of a sea view room as the majority are a restricted sea view. A massive thank you to Melissa who worked tirelessly on our booking to get us the correct room type - she really is a diamond! The rooms also have a terrible humidity problem - if the air conditioning goes off the floors are like an ice rink, condensation drips down the walls & off the ceilings. This causes a fousty smell in the room. Our butler service was fantastic Tony, Kadeen & star of the show Tremayne! Nothing was too much trouble until the suitcase went missing! Jack & his staff in The Merry Monkey were superb especially Cherise. The resort seems under pressure through lack of staff but if you respect them & treat them with manners they are wonderful. The grounds are beautiful even after Hurricane Beryl & then a tropical thunderstorm caused damage. Beware also when you leave your bags for collection to checkout. They do not tag them & they are just put in the storage room until you collect them. We were on a late flight & one of our cases had disappeared. The reception staff & butler were useless even inferring it was our fault. It was finally found by the Virgin staff at the airport lost property. It had gone on a shuttle bus with earlier guests! We had great fun with the team but it really isn’t a 4 or 5 star resort even though the majority of the team are 4 & 5 star Read less
